Maybe he's more aggressive, maybe he's not. I don't think the incident with Stew is any indication. He wasn't diving in to make a pass. He didn't think Stew would be there. If his intent were to stuff Stew then I would agree with you. However, he was thinking Stew would be exiting the corner at a completely different angle. Also, regarding him making a mistake by clipping the jump as he entered the turn. Sometimes they purposely clip the tops like that to scrub a little speed. It's possible it wasn't a mistake at all.

He lost the 2011 outdoor title cause he ran out of gas costing him a million bucks. Not so lucky.

You missed the point. I'm not sure why it is that any time a rider's religious beliefs are brought up, someone has to impart their opinion (in this case, a very ill informed opinion) on God or Jesus, or Christianity, or religious beliefs. The point was that Dungey's life as a whole -- on and off the track -- are why Dungey is having the success he's having. For Dungey, his religious beliefs are important and they function in his life which has helped him to be the person he is today. Same with Trey Canard. If you don't like it, fine, but no need to insult or mock the beliefs of others and side track the discussion.

The fact that his interviews are boring and sound repetitive are proof of his brains. He knows better. It's business. He's doing exactly what his business partners, who are paying him big bucks, want him to do.

Dungey had some terrible luck throughout his career.

Derailed chain cost him a SX championship in 2011
Ran out of gas and lost MX championship in 2011
Gas cap breaking off at Southwick
Electrical bike problems at Southwick
Bike won't re-start at Red Bud
Bent shifter in Vegas

Worst of all, has to race against RV for most of his career. Now that's some crappy luck.

I realize I may not have been clear initially, but had hoped my example highlighted that I was primarily commenting on his luck related to staying healthy for an entire year and when he does crash, he tends to bounce back up quickly, hence luck on his side.

How can getting punted off, and battling your way back through the pack to 2nd be lucky? You sir are an idiot. IMO getting punted off was unlucky, but he capitalised on his calm nerves and determination to cut through the pack sensibly.

His scaphoid bone wasn't the same as a leg or arm break, but it really hindered him for a season or more.

I wonder if it really did cost him millions. I have to imagine he was one of the top paid racers even at that time. How much more could Suzuki or a competitor have offered him? Sponsorship dollars would have been impacted I imagine.

Broken collarbone Vegas 2003, broken arm Phoenix 2005, broken wrist Phoenix 2010, broken wrist Lakewood 2012.

Aside from those he has walked away from some very nasty crashes and avoided injury.
