Put those stupid holes on bike stands. Do you really use them to drain oil? All they do is make the bike unstable on the stand.

I used it to drain oil on my KX250 cause the drain plug was right in the middle, worked well.

My KTM has the plug on the side, so a triangle it is.

Because once upon a time, 25 years ago, drain plugs used to line up. But motocrossers aren't the brightest bunch. you'll find that every single technological break-thru in the last 40 years has been met with push-back from the lowbrow crowd.

So, if a stand company were to make a nice flat, stable stand... the collective retard crowd (the majority of the market) would say "how the heck am I supposed to drain my oil!!!" even if they never previously changed their oil through the stand.

It is kind of silly especially on a plastic stand where you could use a little more support. The ol' triangle is the best for changing the oil. That or a motorcycle lift.

The hole is to save material costs on stand production. I hope you paid $10 less for that one! JK

I use my stand to jump up in and out of the back of the truck when loading/unloading the bikes. Always seem to get the stand with the hole in it. And when it isn't the ones with the hole it's the one with the round tube base that rolls on the corners. Gotta be careful loading with those as well...lol.Woohoo

This! Whatever they do it's wrong.

But it's not that hard to change the top of the stand if you must have one without the hole (if you have an aluminum stand at least). While you're at it, make it thicker than stock and ad a lip to one side. Bike will be more stable than ever, now you can even throw some nac nacs in your garage.

Ive always just leaned my bike against the garage wall , truck or whatever to change gearbox oil. The Rotax engines on my ATKs had a allen bolt on the side to drain the oil and the filler hole was also on the side. Pain in the ass.

KTM here and yeah the stand doesn't work to drain oil, if anything it makes it near impossible to drain oil on a stand.

i usually just take the bike to the back of the yard, lean it against the fence, and drain it into my neighbors yard. no clean up for me and they're dick-noses anyway
