Gautier Paulin/Aldon Baker...

Edited Date/Time 12/11/2015 12:23am
I just buy the last "MX magazine" and it says that once he's healthy again, GP21 will go to the USA to train under Aldon Baker's order with Ryan Dungey, Marvin Musquin, Jason Anderson and Adam Cianciarulo.

He was suposed to race a few Euro SX races also this winter (atleast Paris-Lille SX) but had to sit them out because of knee surgery i believe.

Not sure what his plans are regarding a few AMA SX before the GP's start.

I think the premise of his post was that Aldon's program generally speaking is not a one-on-one type scenario and Aldon will have his hands full with his SX clients. Furthermore, it is conceivable that the gym work is also taylored to preparing for short duration high intensity (SX) activity. I'm not saying there's no point to Paulin going there, but 51xc's post has some legitimacy.

I would think Paulin would be good on a SX track with his background in BMX. He's got skills.

I dont follow the GPs closely, but wasnt Gautier a bit of a dissapointment in 2015?

Him hooking up with Aldon says a lot.

On paper it was the best season of his career, yeah. If you dig a little deeper though, he was a disappointment. One overall win and a bunch of average results (even before the injury) meant a lot of people were wondering what was up with him.

Maybe he will use hansens #100 for the series? Wild speculation

As his knee is not ready for supercross, he has time to do some other stuff at the Bakery such as filming the other guys. Video credits @GaultierPaulin Wink

Right clearly anyone getting 2nd place in that championship means zero....gee can you be any harder on the guy?? Anyone racing wants to get first, Febvre rode superbly and deserved the title, sometimes riders come through the ranks as a surprise and ride better than the established riders.

Kind of kicking down an open door, since he's the first one to say he was disappointed with his season...
