I see lots of people complaining about Loretta Lynns and I am curious ..... how many of you have actually put in the effort and work to race there in any class? Have you even gone to watch the worlds best AM racers?

I will start .... in 1991 I raced Stock & Mod 250C.

I won the 30 B/C class qualifier at southwick back in 1998 when I was an A rider, but that's as far as I got

Depends who the rider is, C rider who has never had a brand new bike no. A rider that knows what he wants. Yes. My 2015 ktm 450 was not for me. There you go.

Similar years too. 82, 85, 90, 99, 00 ,01, 02, 03, 08, 10, 12, 13 and Blake again this year.

89, 90, and 91 here... 80cc 12-13 & 14-15 stk/mod. Qualified in 92 but broke my foot in my last moto at the regional, got my cast off the morning before we left for the ranch and ended up not racing because I wasnt ready. A good friend of mine was 1st alternate in both classes and he was very thankful he got to race.

Also went as an alternate in 88 (didn't get to race).

2008 250c stock and mod. First and only time ive ever made and been racing since 94. Wouldn't trade the experience and memories I have of FINALLY making it to the ranch and the pride and accomplishment I felt of achieving that for anything in the world! It was truly a Moto vacation I had been trying to get to since I started seriously racing and even though I didn't get the results I was hoping for, that week of racing was seriously the greatest I've ever had, from the camaraderie to the environment to the competition to watching the best AMs in the country it was truly an amazing experience and only something I can hope to experience again as a vet rider and in the future with my own kids. The money spent to get there and race was severely inconsequential compared to the memories and experiences me and my dad made that year on the road to and racing at Loretta's. Its an accomplishment ill always hold close to heart, because no mater what class you make it in that year you were top 42 in the country in your respective age/skill class and no one can try and argue against that!

'94 and '95, qualified in '96 but got injured after regionals. Returned in 2010, 2011 and 2012 with family racing. My best was a 4th, got to celebrate a win in the later years.

Best vacation there is.

2013 in the rain and mud 2014 skipped 15 and am already training and working on really giving 16 everything I have .

Thanks for posting that JB, My son was in your class that year at the ranch. Shelby Reitz, he ended up 10th. We drove down from Pa. in a 76 Ford Maverick with a 3 rail trailer and stayed in a super 8 motel. My son hated that stock bike but rode well and we were proud for sure (broke but proud of him). I sold my 1985 KTM 500 to pay for our trip good times.

My son has raced 2011 85Jr., 2012 85Jr., 2013 85 Sr., 2014 85sr. and 2015 Schoolboy. Great memories!

My son and I raced there in 1986 and I went back and raced in 1996. It is very tough to do good there in any class!
Just making it there is hard work and also very expensive.
We also raced the GNC Nationals at Lake Whitney and the NMA Nationals at Ponca City several times, but
I enjoyed the White Brothers World Vet Championship at Glen Helen better. More fun and cost less even with it being a very long trip.
