I still stand by the hard fact of the videos. Rossi ran him wide and gave him his choice gas or brake it's clear as day MM chose to dip a shoulder and gas it. MM made contact not rossi no mater if he stared at him waved at him it does not matter the rider with the inside can do what ever he wants. Had rossi slid into him and touched him. It's his fault. As long as rossi gives him pavement to ride he's good.
Yep!

I do understand a penalty for Rossi though, mostly because everything is so regulated now days. Dizzy However, I think the penalty should have been to dock him a position or two.

And for the record I'm a huge fan of both guys, they are amazing.

I had nothing against Marquez, especially since he likes dirt bikes too, but messing up with big daddy at the end of a championship battle is not the smartest way to get fans outside Spain.

I guess I would be manager at hrc I would have a broken hand and a rider with a concussion.

oh what a load of bullocks, MM races for Honda and his sponsors not to hand a championship to another rider, he still races for 1st place regardless if he is a championship contender or not...if all riders did that then no one would get sponsored!!!! Why would a company sponsor a rider that isn't allowed to win a race, they want their coverage too for goodness sake.

All this talk about a 'unwritten rule' is absolute crap and is made up by people who think a championship should be handed to someone rather than earned

Rossi has stated the midget has something personal going between the 2, blames him for a crash or 2,
Midgets season is over , he's out of it, nothing to lose, he helps a fellow countryman bring the gold home to
Spain he's a hero at home along with crybaby, Rossi is probally the only guy to walk away from Hondarepsol for another team...........plenty of probable cause imo
ok so calling MM a midget clearly means you are a Rossi fan, I get it

Has MM helped Lorenzo? Seems to me him crashing hasn't helped at all, so continue on with your conspiracy theory at least Yamaha wins the championship, surely that helps you?

One thing we can all agree on: Lorenzo is a cock for running straight to race control to complain about the incident.
totally ^^^
Rumour has it this tanty didn’t go down to well with Yamaha management and he could be looking for a new ride next year.

Come on Kiwi. Really, and I've taken a lot of heat elsewhere for it, I'm a Hayden fan.

MM not putting 46 on the last grid next week, or on the ground as I believe was midgets intent, does not that help
Lorenzo, a fellow Spainard?

I like watching MM ride, wondering when he's gonna throw it away. I just don't like the way he's lied about this whole thing, like we the masses are stupid with no eyes. He never stood the bike up or got off the gas. All the video,
Nobody sees a kick to his front brake. And that's what he said happened.

The real jerk here, IMO, is the Motogp race director who doled out the penalty in the first place.
He works for Dorna, a Spanish company. Unless the Gods smile on Rossi big time, he, the race director won the title for Spain. He could have applied the points to next year, but no, grab the title on a judgement call.

This whole deal reminds me of times when 500s ruled, and they went behind the iron Curtain, crap like this happened all the time.

It's shortsighted to think anyone pissed at Marquez/Lorenzo/race director are Rossi fans. This ruling effectively shit on an entire season of awesome racing. Whether Rossi, Pedrosa, Marquez or Lorenzo won races, this year was awesome. I say was because now the final race is all fucked up and basically set up to give someone a championship.

Independent of who I'm rooting for most, I'm not renewing my motogp.com subscription and a bunch of my friends aren't either because of this horseshit. Running someone wide doesn't result in the other rider crashing 100% of the time, it's stupid.

Lorenzo and Marquez were faster than Rossi all year but could not manage the title chase like Rossi did. A world championship is hard to come by and to have it decided this way just sucks for the fans.

DORNA has Webb's balls in a vice. He felt the immense squeeze and pressure, and has made a call that has basically made this years championship irrelevant.

Take a look at US road racing, NASCAR, etc. Don't ever think that Moto GP may not look the same as these series do now, after enjoying bountiful harvests of fans , dollars for many years.

If Moto GP events started to look like a current day Daytona 200, they would shit.

Does not take a whole lot to lose the more fickle fan base of today.

No, It`s because most, if not all of those comments are made on November 25th, right after the race, without closely looking at the video evidence. A lot has changed. We`ll see. I was watching the race on BT Sports and commentators said, perhaps a hundred times, that Rossi kicked Marquez front brake lever. Everyone in a studio was absolutely sure that what they saw was true. Well, it wasn`t.

Marquez was not racing for Honda's best result at Sepang he was playing with Rossi to frustrate him (which worked) there was a record number of passes in one lap something like 9 that can only happen if one guy is way faster and playing, unless they are both playing which we know Rossi wasn't.. he wanted to get to Lorenzo which he knew was a tall order for him, especially while battling with someone, considering almost everyone knows that sort of battling slows both riders down.. Rossi was stuck he couldn't get away from Marquez cause he was obviously faster and Marquez wasn't leaving him alone and if you can't see that well, I don't know what to say..

The unwritten rule isn't 'not race against' it's 'not mess with' Rossi was fine with racing against remember what he said when people were criticising Ianonne for 'racing' him at Phillip Island?

None of them mentioned any kicking/running into, they saw Rossi purposely taking MM wide because he got angry.

You're to narrow minded and only want to talk about MM gassing into VR, VR should have held his composure and kept racing.

Had it been any other rider apart from VR, they would have been DQ'd..

There is no rule that prevents someone from taking someone wide. If you can show me such rule, I`ll agree with you. Marquez crash was his own doing. Penalty is for causing other to crash, but it`s clear that Rossi did not cause Marquez to crash.

So you pissed off another rider. He's faster than you. You can't pass him and stay in front of him, and now you decide, hey, I'm going to REALLY piss him off.

You lose.

End of story.

What am I missing? Rossi is done, and obviously can't be fast enough to decide his own fate. Too bad.

He was penalized for irresponsible riding causing danger to other competitors. Not the crash!

I agree taking people wide is part of racing, but the way that VR did it was not racing, it was trying to shut another rider down at what ever cost, in this case his own cost.

That`s not entirely true. I won`t be watching because of farce the MotoGP has become due to spanish antics, not because of Rossi retiring. There is a big difference.

So vr is a danger to the other riders and mm is the good guy. Ok, i see how this works now. Sure i like Rossi but anyone that has followed motogp knows he hasn't been a solid contender for years. Gp hasnt been the same sense the 500s.

Well Rossi has a chance to win the championship if Lorenzo finishes 3rd or worse.
