Because I'm having a middle aged moment and I have a nephew that is graduating from a PW50. Just for a little while I want him to have what "I" had.

I was hoping to stay under $1500 for a restored one. What the cost of a KTM 50 would be.

Wasn't the 1980 model a YZ50, with the YZ60 being 81 and 82?

Someday I hope to have a 1981 again.. Newman's would be perfect. Throw in a 1973 Indian 50, and I'm driving to where Indian Dunes used to be and figuring out a way to recreate the best years of my life. To bad its farmland now, but my fantasy will overlook that part somehow.

Matt Fisher, you are correct. Above is me on the '81 60cc, below '80 50cc

YZ50 was 1980 only
The 60 was 81-83, and the 82/83 are a bit different than the 81. I had an 83 and can still remember sitting on it in the showroom as a 2 yr old leftover model.

I live right down the road from Indian Dunes. Dad grew up racing there every weekend. If you get the chance to walk back there you can still see parts of the track. Granted there isn't much and it's grown over, but it was cool to see parts of the track that I've heard so many stories about.

Newmann - I'm in the SA area, and I have been looking forever for a 1984 KX60. Got one?

1980 YZ50? Got one of those too. No 1984 air cooled KX60 though.
