Word is he is trying to make a comeback but cannot get any offers because he didn't dominate the GPs. So he is testing bikes for a privateer return.

I would love to be at a track to watch him ride. Chris Blose shows up every now and then at ACP here in AZ and although not at RVs level, still fun to watch the stuff they can do on a track you ride.

I'm glad he is riding, I seriously thought he wouldn't touch a bike for at least a few years.

I'm going to get heat for this but I thought on PulpMX Matthes said there was an absurd rumor that RV was going to race Monster Energy Cup.

Obviously, I believe this to be just another crazy rumor but where did that come from?

@ both of you guys... way to turn a really rad thread into a little flame war

as for RV being on the bike, just makes me laugh at everyone that always said he hates the sport. as if anyone knows what he loves or hates. awesome to see him on that 2-stroke and having fun with the family, that's what it's all about right there

I don't remember anyone saying he hates riding.

I've been around him at the races because of a mutual friend, when nobody is around he is cool and a bit of a joker, but once the crowds were around he was all business. I was told by that friend that it wasn't riding he hated, it was the grind and the fact that it was a job. He raced and trained because he was good at it, he rode because he enjoyed it.

Weird hearing about RV being at a track huh? Maybe what a lot of guys say about him " hating the sport " isn't as true as what they thought. It wasn't ever about hating the sport at all , he was just tired of the industry and a lot of the people in it. I hope one day he remembers why we all try and do this sport. You can enjoy it if you are a super fast pro , or just a beginner. It puts the same feelings inside everyone if you do it right.
I remember seeing an interview with him sayin how RC basically killed all the fun in the sport with his training. To a point i think he is right. The aldon baker mentality is Go hard for a few years and then enjoy life. but you look at RV's career vs Mcgraths, both won a record amount of titles, but the biggest difference i would say is Mcgrath still went out enjoying life in the offseason, rode in the hills dunes trails, he was all business when it mattered and partied when he could.

Im glad hes on the bike because the reason we all do this is because its fun

It tells me that he's getting used to riding a two stroke for his upcoming part in the new Transworld premix movie. Not that the industry needs a revolution. Two stroke guys are so weird.

Then why do you talk shit at him at every opportunity? Make up your mind

I'm just happy he is riding for fun, and this sort of tells me something about his retirement. It's not that he doesn't like riding dirt bikes, it's probably all of the pressure and all of the other stuff that goes along with being a pro that he was tired of.

Wouldn't want to bug him If I ever ran into him, but I'd love to shake his hand and say "thanks" for the great races he gave us.
When did you leave Oahu?

RV likes to ride dirt bikes. All you dip shits that think cause he said he is tired of racing professionally because he is finally sound and doesn't need to, flipped it to him hating dirt bikes. Go RV 2018 Supercross Champ 250t class

We left in August Rock. Hawaii was great but I was ready for a change. Probably the tightest knit moto group ever out there and made some great friends, yourself included. Now I'm getting to explore the Washington moto scene and relearn how to ride ruts haha! I'm also going to try some vintage stuff here, picked up a 78 YZ400 and am racing it this weekend!
