They are one of the favorites. Not sure why people think France is the favorite, MM25 was soundly beat by Martin, and Paulin is nothing special, you have a depleted MX1 and MX2 class in 2015 from injuries, and Barcia is probably faster than both him and Febvre. Webb will be fast on a 450, it's not like he's going to a street bike or something.

I say, good luck to the rest of the world, they will need it.

Before your time Ryan (probably) there was a USGP where Everts and Windham went 1-2 and 2-1. Windham got the overall on the tie-breaker. Some Vitards refer to that race as an ass-handing session from KW.

You see I'm not really old enough to remember that, but up until now I had no idea that Everts won a race. I'd always assumed KW won both races

Very happy we have three riders that will ride their hearts out. They will crash trying to win. There's a lot to be said for that.

Yes Everts went 1-3 and Windham went 3-1 at the 1999 USGP at Budds so KDub got the overall GP win. I think people make a big deal about it because Windham wasn't going to race but decided to in response to some comments Everts made before the GP basically calling American riders out for choosing not to race it. Still no one really cared and there wasn't another USGP for awhile after that.

I think there is a 46% chance they will, a 38% chance they won't and I don't care about the other 33%.

France looks strong on paper, i would love to see a charging MM. But history has a tendency to repeat itself, just look at Cairolis MXdN results. MM's MXdN results is not that great...

France: strong team, MM?
USA: hot, do or die kinda team, just was is needed at this event. COOPER WEBB!! JM weakest link IMO.

Other contenders:

Great brittain, awesome guys, need some luck.
Belgium of course.
Switzerland, look out!

It will be awesome to go back to Ernée, watching RC shine in 2005 was just awesome!
See you at the beertent :-)

It's a shame that the USGP kind of died out because from what I've seen just looking back through stuff the USGP's were well contested by the American riders in the 80's and early 90's. The more stuff I see from the 80's and 90's the more I feel like I was born 20 years too late

We have three guys capable of absolutely dominating, or failing absolutely terribly. We'll see.

True. At the 1994 250 USGP at Budds Emig, Dowd, Stanton and maybe a couple others raced. Emig won the first moto and he was still on a 125 outdoors that year but Yves Demaria took the overall.

I'm talking about speed, and everyone knows Martin was the fastest guy out there.

They sure have the speed! I think bad starts will stink the joint up. I hope I'm wrong. I also thought the "B" Team was going to lose a few years back!

Germany won with a 18y old that just move to the other side of the world, a rider that could barely hold a 15th place in the GP championship due to injuries and a rider that only rode 3 GP's that year.

Anything can happen that day. And they only need to be fast and consistent for one event to win it all.

Team USA had a rider like that the last time in France and USA won the event. This year we have three. I like Webb and Barcia for their extra level of intensity.

I love the fact that many riders seem to turn things up a notch for the MXDN. National pride and the pressure of not letting down the team is a heavy burden. The guys who are solid under pressure and willing to push it past their comfort zone for their country are bad-ass to watch!

No way. He'd have over 1500 posts by now. EK is a good candidate though.

Probably better than 99% of the other countries, but if we don't win for some reason we get to hear people from little shit hole third world countries tell us how horrible America is.

Most people that give us a hard time over the MXDN, we beat....
