Some nice damage control there. Although, I found it interesting that he didn't say something like "Everything in my dad's interview was not true". Cool that RacerX got KRoc's side posted so quickly though.

I doubt seriously that you'll hear from RC. I doubt just as seriously that you'll hear anything from Carey Hart.

Ken put himself in a corner with his statements. He is locked in to RCH. No back pedaling now. He said it was his decision. He believes in the team. The team is good. He is going to win titles.
Ok Ken. No more blaming the team, the engineers, the mechanic, the trainer, the set up, etc. Blame yourself moving forward.
Shit reeks of money influenced say this or else bullshit.

No one will ever hear a word from RC, Carey Hart, Ken Watson, or the so called team manager. To busy spending their sponsors money. Borderline fraud. Feel bad that the industry will take a black eye from this tragedy called a team. Sets precedence for outside sponsors not to participate in the sport.

Not only has this made RCH look like the joke of the industry, it has made RC & Hart look like even bigger jokes. They have seemingly plugged into the Soaring Eagle tribe/JimmyJohns/Dodge cash pipeline...and are simply names painted on the side of the rig, because they're never seen in the pits. I wonder how the team sponsors feel about all this. I bet you'll see them dropping like flies if any of this turns out to be truth.

Kenny's dad is speaking from an opinion of wanting the absolute best for his own kid, and thinking that he could do better than the RCH Team for his own boy, maybe motivated by a little envy but also love. If you do not have kids then you do not understand this. You say you do, but you don't. It is obvious that some of the things he stated are opinion in regards to the people on the team. But there are also points made that could be true and a little damning. RacerX loves daddy drama and slants the article to make KR's dad look like a loon.
This is good for our sport.

In reference to the air forks. Just last week KR was asked by Jim Holly if he was back on the the springs, Ken jumped as high as Hillary getting tapped on the shoulder as she hits the delete button in her email account, and responded with a "no comment" several times. It is obvious they suck and he went back to springs hence his new finishes. . There is no other logical reason for that response. So his dad's comment about his finishes having nothing to do with his back issues hold a little water in my book.

You could not beat Ken just a short time ago. He was an animal. Two things changed, he let Alden go and he got his new bike with air forks, since then his results have plummeted. So which is it?

You can read all the new Zook ads boasting of the new air fork. But their top guy can't get a finish on them? They know it and they are not going to let that truth out. So KR takes the fall cause he is paid to. Hey, I don't judge the guy he is just part of the marketing effort right now and trying to save a little face for Zook. So instead of getting paid for good finishes he is getting paid for bad ones with an "explanation".

But lets not make KR's dad look like TA. That my friend is a stretch. I applaud his dad for calling it like he sees it. Even if it is a little clouded with emotion.

some may find it hard to do when they (fathers) have done everything for their kid to get them to the pro's. lets see.... pay for most everything, train them, school them, travel with the them, nurture them, support then when they are down or injured, kick them in the butt when needed....if you did that for 12 years till they start their pro program, I could see it would be hard to let go....I guess it would be hard to understand some times when we look on the out side and judge everybody to act how we think they should act....life just aint that easy...IMHO....
Why is it that in the stick and ball sports we don't see these dads rolling around like a wrecking ball? There are plenty of "little league" dad's that manage to let their kids go when they get to the college or pro level.

Team sports are a bit different, but having coached aau basketball and pop warner & middle school football, I can tell you parents can be just as bad as mini dads. I also look at the type of jobs most parents have, 9-5 ers don't have the time to be as involved with their kids sports. Seems a lot of the top kids parents have more independent or self employed jobs, in general, or are finacially set.

Inresting to see to the extremes, dad's overly involved or racers and their parents relationships strained.

It's a tough sport on many levels, in the end it's personality driven, and I'm not in position to judge anyone,.

Maybe because in the Stick and Ball sports, kids are put into a position of having a coach and are part of a larger team from the outset.

Moto is a lot different, in Moto the TEAM is the parents from the start until the rider turns Pro, at that point the change over from parent running everything to having a team / team manager having control changes.

While there is no doubt parents would have a big investment in thier kids in stick and ball sports from a young age, they are also put in the position of taking a bit of a back seat from the get go.

Tickle looks a little awkward in that pic. His wife is an 11 though so it's all good.

Roczen's dad has nothing to lose by being honest, Kenny has a lot to lose from being honest if indeed that is how Kenny really feels. I think dad Roczen's account was a bit flavored but basically honest. There are obviously things going on in the RCH camp that we are not privy to and it has affected Roczen's season in a negative way.

Fighting with ur team is probably similar to fighting with ur girlfriend. You complain and whinge to your family about how much of a psycho she is but you don't tell them how she got that way cos u were out drinking with ur mates till 3am and didn't call. You also don't go back and tell them that she made it up to u three times last night and once this morning and now things are good.

Kennys dad sees only kens side of the story, he doesn't see if his son is slacking off, or if the team is putting everything possible into improving. All parents are blinded in a way to their kids.

The truth is probably somewhere in the middle as is the case in all situations

I really don't get why they are trying to shove these fucking air forks down everyone's throat! Name one rider who loves them? Every single riders results suffered and they struggled with them, with most riders going back to spring. Here's the solution slap a fuckin air fork sticker on the sides of spring forks and have the triple air chamber just a dummie so you can still sell your bikes. Most of us already know they blow they are several years in and the pros still hate them.

I really thought roczen would be the exception to the rule because he all but said he hated the KTM yet did so well on it so I thought he'd be one of those guys who could ride and win on anything

The smoking gun in this whole thing seems to be Kelly Lumgair. Kelly leaving is a big deal for a lot of reasons and even if everyone is full of shit in this story, the split between kenny and his wrench seems like evidence that things may actually be totally blown. I really wish Kelly would give his side of the story.

Now I am waiting RC's dad PR that tells his poor son is surrounded by riders who ride 3 seconds a lap slower past the 20 minutes mark.

For sure there is never smoke without fire so some changes will happen but to put it all on the team is quite a Reed move when he wants to change bike.

Based on the other thread that keeps growing, I think the damage is done.

There is a lot of stupid stuff written on here but this is at the top. Calling RCH team a fraud is ridiculous. Carey Hart is a success story that should be celebrated not slammed. He has done more for this industry than most. It is sad that a father is trying and soil the reputation of people this sport needs.

If you have ever met Carey you would know he cares more about the team and sport than he does himself. Man there are some stupid people on here.

Their riders are currently 3rd and 6th in the championship and could very easily end up 2nd and 5th and they're a fraud and the joke of the industry? Congradulations, you two are the epitome of a vitard.
