He was frustrated and angry loosing the lead. I can say some stupid shit too when im angry that i moments later regret saying. The difference is im not on tv when im saying it. I didnt like his comment but on the other hand its exciting with a little drama. The snooze fest podium speeches of the likes of dungey is boring. I think he saved it pretty good in the 2nd interview. The question is would he apologized to marvin if he didnt win the 2nd moto? Smile

Webb just said what he thought to be true. Its pretty telling though that every time he gets beat ,its somebody elses fault. He doesnt just own up to getting beat. That attitude wont do him any favors when he goes on a 450. Just ask Barcia, who looks to be finally turning it around.

Childish, sore-loser like reaction after the first moto, but he really made it up after apologizing after the second moto. He does wear his heart on his sleeve which is something (most) fans like. However that doesn't mean you have to act like an idiot while you're at it.

I do however like his commitment to win! After being passed, he just regroups and goes at it again while most riders settle down in second. He should definitely go to MXoN! He has that self confidence and heart to win (like Tomac).

I hope I'm not stating anything that no one here realizes. In sports of all kinds, the media jumps in right after the heat of battle to try and capture emotions that would be controlled if more time was given. The media loves it when guys like Cooper have issues. Great press for them. Give the kid a break. He wants to win. He is one of the few who can take that aggression and turn it into more speed.

They're all battling for wins. Marvin really didn't do anything wrong, he was riding aggressively, but he and Cooper were close when Marvin took his line. Cooper had to exit the track to avoid disaster. Most of the time, the rider whose front wheel gets clipped will be the one who goes down. Hard racing is all. Give Cooper a break. He is emotional, that is what makes him so good. Barcia has really matured. So will Cooper!

How many times has JS7, Reed or RC had a mic shoved in their faces right after a fall, a bike failure or some altercation with another rider on the track? The media loves the drama...and when a rider lets his emotions fly out of his mouth before he can chill and engage his brain.

Racing is emotional. Mix youth, a bit of competitive cockiness & adrenaline...and you've got a statement like Webb's. Made him looked like a prick, but life goes on...

I am not a fan of Cooper Webb ever since I saw one of his first interviews. He is a smart ass and a dumb ass, that is a bad combination. Cooper is fast and has talent on a motorcycle. But his speaking before thinking skills are terrible. He also needs to watch his language during interviews. If I was one of his sponsor's I would not want him representing my company or product.

He's a punk kid. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt instead of saying what I really think about him. If he had the balls to run his mouth like that to the wrong person, or right person, and get a good ole ass whooping ought to put him in check. I dunno if maturing will help him ever.

If he would have made that comment about Friese ,people would be lining up to rub boner tips with him. Because he said it about the teddy bear moosecan ,its not OK.

To be fair, Jebus is a reference to a Simpsons episode where Homer was pleading for help from Jesus after claiming he didn't believe in him but he mistakingly and therefor ironically called him Jebus.

I can't speak for what Huevos meant by that but when I read his Jebus comment that is what I thought of and it actually is a pretty relevant take on society today.

That is true and I should not talk shit on the kid. He probably went back to the truck and watched the tape and saw how his whining came across and made amends for it after the next moto, even if he was advised to do so it still happened.

Anyway he a a badass rider and one of the hardest chargers out there. A pleasure to watch and definitely not a freight trainer. Fights for every position right to the end

You guys are funny. First, you have thread after thread about riders being robots on the podium and the first time you have a guy that says exactly what's on his mind, you have thread after thread about how he's crossing the line. If you don't think what Cooper says is exactly what countless other riders are thinking, you're wrong. Cooper just says it on camera for you. Keep it up and you will once again have another rider thanking god and the dunlop guys for giving him tires with traction.

We asked Cooper about it in the press conference about it after the race and he said " Maybe it runs in us North Carolinians. We get fired up like Damon Bradshaw. i know a lot of guys are better at holding in their emotions and anger. I'd rather be real with myself and everyone else rather than hold it back and be known as a nice guy. "

I would rather see an impassioned speech from a rider who is invested in the races than some blurt of sponsors and a middle of the road opinion on everything. He gives a shit because he is riding this season for himself, like he said, and he had no issues battling it out with Martin despite being on the same team.
