Have one from the late 70's. Unfortunately the wife uses it to fill the bird feeders in the yard. From Maxima 927 to birdseed. Pretty sad.

Always keep more than one on hand, as they seem to disappear at the most inopportune moments.

You've got air filter maintenance down to a science though...

I have a few of those for spares but I feel like the cap doesn't seal to good and gas goes flying everywhere

Am I the only one who prefers these?

Definitely!

I liked 40:1 myself haha... I think I see a 150 hauling my big ass around in the future. Maybe an RM250 if I can find the right one!

Well, sure, see you the ratty looking Ratio Rite, and raise you a green can of Castrol 50 wt GP oil, four stroke oil, not two stroke, to be mixed at 20:1, the only thing to keep CZ main bearings happy. Still got one on the shelf.

But raise you one more: the real sign you have been at this a while is, a big toe broken by the kickstarter on a Parilla Wildcat 250. That was BEFORE two strokes got good. The first time around for four strokes...

I ride a YZ125.

32:1 is 4oz per gallon.
I haven't used a ratio rite for years.
I have one though.

I called time and temp for 2 weeks straight because the old man said I couldn't ride it unless it was above freezing.

When did they stop making cans of Spectro that you opened with a can opener or pushed a metal spout thru the lid?

I remember poking a hole in a can of Pennzoil 30 weight and pouring it straight into my 77 RM 250's fuel tank until, "That's about right." Worked good, lasted long time.
guess I wasn't the only one to do that a couple of times. 74 elsinore 125, ride up to the pump, put in a gallon of gas, then pour in a guesstimate of oil, swish it around and ride off back to the track and trails..

.... I just used to strap a small plastic can to my 78 rm 125 w/ some Castro R all measured out and stuff a five spot into my boot ( for lunch and gas later ) and roll out the garage, side streets and railroad tracks to the local track

I would fill up some 100+ leaded at the local 76 station and Brrraap on down the road after ditching my can later for filling up in between cool down seasons

Then dad would show up and pick me and my friends up/ or leave us in the back if we're too muddy

Ha ha, good times

rail road tracks and side streets, we went wherever we wanted, there was always some place to ride, those were amazing times..

sometimes there could be up to 10 of us going out, seemed like everyone had a bike back then, people now days have no clue what it used to be like...

Brings back memories...hey Pete did you make it up to NHMX for the NESC race? No results on the site...I stayed home because of the weather. Every time I go by your pit to say hi, you're on the damn phone.
