I'm uploading a Teutschenthal gallery here on Vital later tonight but just wanted to share these pics.
In the Saturday MX2 Qualifying race the big uphill was a true scrub fest.
Herlings, Gajser and Guillod going ridiculously flat on that thing.
They were using a really small bump a few meters below the edge of the take off to get the lift and lay it over. It was amazing to watch and shoot. I shot too many pics there.
Here's a sequence of Guillod, hope you like 'm..

The skills these kids have are unreal.
Herlings and Gajer :
...ly accurate. Going that low cost him a broken collarbone. Theres a point where the danger massively outweighs the 0.1 second gained.
Thanks for sharing
Scrubbed it a few milliseconds too soon....
Anyone
Pit Row
Can't wrap my head around how they can manipulate the bike like that so close to the ground. Zero margin of error. Sheesh.
Thanks mzl
Seriously...I'd love to see a pic of Tripes scrubbing, or JoJo Keller either for that matter! Either way, I doubt it was pancaked as flat as these guys are putting it today.
I hate to tell you folks, but Bubba did not start the "scrub". I watched several very good riders doing the scrub at LL's back in the early 80's. That is well before Bubba's time. There were also two 80cc riders doing it at the LL regional qualifier in 1986 at the San Antonio track.
