Awesome ride! Give him a few more rounds to get with the 30 minute pace and get his starts down and he will be on the box. It nice to see him back.

Working for his Father-in-law Minn. area, think he buys houses, makes them nice then sells them again, I guess construction...

I actually said this during the race. I wasn't trying to make too big of an observation, but there's at least something to be said for him passing AC, in regards to training vs. rest.

No matter what, killer ride by Craig!

He has very good riding style, he was standing up round most of the track making it look easy.

He works for his father in laws construction company, his father in law also owns Geico Honda. So I'd say "quit" his job is a stretch, I'm sure it'll be waiting for him when he's done.

4-6 for 5th overall! Incredible finish for being retired! I did read that he said he was in the best shape of his life and had been injury free for a pretty long while.

The best riders know how to make the bike do most of the work with JMB coming to mind. You don't have to be RC fit when you have that skill set that only a few possess. Christian's father was one helluva rider so the limb doesn't fall far from the tree in the talent department.

On the time off subject I was amazed that both Stephan Roncada and Casey Johnson in the YoT days came back from injuries with National level speed and fitness at the Glen Helen National opener circa 2001.

No racing their way back into shape for those guys! They were on it from the start.

And without the pressure of being in the sport full time he had a clear head. What an impressive ride and I have to assume at least one team owner/manager is scratching their head, My guess there is more than one team manager wondering why their guy(s) who races full time can't crack the top five if Christian Craig can drop in at the 3rd National and do it.

Makes me glad I sell muffler packing and work with special needs youths instead of racing for a living.

i think the only reason he quit racing was he was riding for TLD and not making much $$

if he was on a factory team or atleast getting paid decent $$ i doubt he would of ever retired

It could have had something to do with him being paralyzed for a short while or damn near.

He was a great rider at the amateur B and pro level when I watched him.

I am sure some of the iron brass geniuses are also a bit upset that this kid spanked their highly trained and supported kids.

I actually doubt it though, as they seem to think that they know it all. Mitch is a good example and is the reason for his teams decline. He put all his eggs in one basket and forgot about the others to some degree.

Mitch should have never let Bogle and Hill to name a few go. He was lucky Baggett wasn't locked down as well, real lucky.

Do you think if Craig keeps racing well that Geico would hook him up for next year or no? Maybe be tricky because his father in law is part owner of the FC team or it could be a no brainer.

Maybe, PC or someone else may want to take a chance with him and that will force Geico's hand.

Hope he keeps doing well and stays healthy. When he is ripping he looks unreal on the bike.

Bumpin up for another Good Job CC.

I think its hard to say if he would come out of "Retirement". Maybe and outdoors only deal for him would be cool and or ideal for him.

I agree.

And hes only 23 which helps a lot. And by the looks of him I'm guessing he leads a clean life meaning no drugs, partying, limited alcohol.

What style on the bike, good God hes smooth.

I feel like not enough people remember Christian Craig, always been a top 3 favorite rider of mine, his style is killer and his starts were on point. so much talent. Its great to see him back out there giving it another go, he had a rough couple of years when he first turned pro.
