RV was basically right behind AC222 and in front of Desalle all season until the 2nd moto at Trentino ???? all season in front of Desalle??

RV beat Desalle only at first moto of Thailand .... all other races this season Desalle was in front of RV ....

so it was RV chasing Desalle so far
That was not my point, I was generalizing, my point was RV was, with the exception of Qatar, right there in the mix with 12, 21, 25 and 222 at most races, yet according to The Source, his season was a disaster. Now AC crashes out, but NO declarations from The Source about how ACs style doesnt suit the Dutch sand, with AC it was just bad luck, with RV it was a defect with his entire approach to MX racing. The Source was correct that RV would not make it through the season, but beyond that he is full of it.

What a disaster that would be, Cairoli hasn't been injured during the season since 2008 and breaks his hand the year RV turns up and the other top contenders don't get hurt. Hopefully it isn't that bad!

Im sure its not that bad. He raced the entire 2nd moto and still came in 7th place. If it were it broken he could not have raced.
He has two weeks to heal up.

Well, I just read somewhere that Tony thinks it Is in fact broken. Damn, the most promising season ever just went down the toilet fast, bring on the Nationals. Just a thought, but maybe they should groom the tracks a little more like the Nationals so it lowers the percentage of stuff like this happening. Rougher Isn't always better.

So, Cairoli is going to fade away from the championship due to injury? I thought that was supposed to happen to Captain America... Laughing

I hope AC is not injured though

I don't recall, that's why I said somewhere. We will find out soon enough either way. If you remember, Stewart broke that bone in hand and it kept him out forever, even though he did race a little with it at first. I hope he is ok though.

Great racing today! Another shake up with Cairoli, but it's a long series and he's not far out of it. Rattray much improved and Nagl looking like the title favorite, for a couple weeks at least.

Was fun event to attend. Some good racing also.
The MXGP class is so interesting at the moment, really sad RV isn't in the mix anymore.
But it has to be said Nagl is looking extremely good this season, he is really consistent and is putting in solid results on all types of tracks. I see him being there all year like this barring any injury, he's a contender for real.

Paulin was really impressive today, i like how tall he is, it kinda looks weird his riding style but he sure makes it work. His riding today reminds me of his Mx of Nations effort last year. If he keeps this up he's gonna creep up in the points standings. But so far this season he has only preformend on a Sand Track, which is weird considering French riders are normally not fans of sand tracks.

Cairoli had a bit of a disaster day, but this season is far from over i have no doubts he will bounce back from this, way stronger. Or maybye after all he is getting a bit older ...

Desalle solid preformance, being from Belgium and all he is definitly my favorite rider to root for together with JVH who was sadly injured.. I hope CD25 is gonna fight hard for this title, he did a solid result this weekend on a type of track i consider one of his weaker ones.

In the 250s i was feeling Ferrandis his riding / speed that guy goes for it. Was kinda a shocker to find out when getting home about the whole leg / kick deal. Bummer since he fought hard in the 2nd moto which had a beautifull almost full race battle between place 2-5..

Herlings .. No words this guy is in another league. Not really his 2013 Lierop GP sand skill demonstration (i honestly think he's a bit below that level at the moment still with the injuries and what happened last year tomed him down a bit) but really impressive none the less. He's the future star for the GP's for a long time to come no doubt ..!

Not really shocked about the leg incident of Ferrandis. Today at Valkenswaard i was talking with someone who was at the GP in Italy last weekend and he told me Ferrandis took at least 3 guys out in Italy. He always aims for the front wheel when he wants to pass someone. The punuishnent he got today maybe looks harsh, but i think it is less harsh then the punishment he will receive in the USA if he brings that riding style to the states. American riders don't let stuff like that go by unpunished. They will go after him.
Hopefully a punishment like this wakes him up. This has nothing to do with motocross.

Time to make a 'The Source' thread so you bozo's can do some collective bashing without spoiling raceday threads....

Great racing but i could not catch it all, had to watch it on my cellphone. Great ride by Paulin, was not counting on him after his performance this year. Also good to see Bobry back at the front. Smile

Funny how we don't get TheSource deconstructing over and over, ad nauseam, why Ciaroli is "sucking" so bad this season!
Tony is a fixture in MXGP, if you bet against him then you have no knowledge of GP's...you only have to win the World Championship by 1 point.

Captain America was never part of the Championship, only a novelty for a market share on a one off gamble that is not paying off .

Just had a chance to watch the MXGP class race and man that was an awesome race. I always forget how rough that damn Valkenswaard track gets. I also think that even though Nagl took the point lead today , I also think he's going to be the man to beat this year for the title. He just seems to be on a mission. He's always been super fast , but I don't think he was ever as comfortable on his Honda's as what he is on that new Husky. He just seems to gel with that thing. I also wasn't expecting to see GP21 win both moto's , so I'm glad to see he's back up to speed. Getting ready to watch the MX2 class race , but Christ I may pass out. Rode about 4 gallons + through my 450 today and I'm feeling it.

You post like Villopoto stole your thunder somehow. You sure try to make his presence in the GPs insignificant and a joke, did he not give you an autograph one time or what? Give it a rest with the shit talking Nostradamus!

And yet he won an overall and was within seconds of first place the last few races... Cairoli would have been lucky for a top 5 in the US nationals... opps

RV has Not finished the last 3 races and yes he did pick up a overall, let's just hope that's not the shining moment from his GP career. We would like to see him compete some more on European tracks.

a pissed of cairoli is a bad thing for other riders look what happened after his 2 dnfs at Sweden. also a fractured wrist isn't a massive problem mines been broke for 2 years and I still race most weekends with slight pain but nothing massive
