Also the forks seem really stiff and rebound pretty agressively. This could be due to the forks not being broke in but I'm not sure. I went two click back on both the compression and rebound which seemed to help some. I imagined the bike was set up for my weight considering I'm 165 with no gear. 5'10" slower B rider in both woods and mx. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Haven't tried NECJ, 175 main and 40 pilot just yet (what kind of temp are you guys running that on?)
I'm running this setup:
Pilot: 40
Main: 160
Needle: N1EG - clip 3
Air screw: 1 3/4 out
It seems to be too rich when starting the bike - I don't need any choke to fire her up. How to lean that out? Even smaller pilot or adjust the air screw in? Or bigger pilot with more air?
Any suggestions?
Matt
And if you hate how the bike handles, it might be in your sag. 108mm is a lot of sag. A lot of recommendations at the 103-105 range. I found I liked min at the 100-102 range. I always ran the forks at the first line on them and not flush to the caps. You're doing everything with your setup to make the bike super stable and trading your quick handling for it.
I'd try less sag, adjust your forks up. If you're still not happy, the adjustable offset triple clamp works great. I ran it on my 250 and loved it.

Mine was over sprung when I got it stock and that caused me to jump out of ruts and not be able to turn like I wanted.

And will 2015 link bolt up to 2014?
I'm in Florida. Today's weather was in the low 80s. What carb settings do you recommend?
I sold my 2008 rm250........well, what a disappointment this 15 tc250 is!! Its got nothing on the bike it replaced. Its not as snappy and it stops reving pretty quick.
What am I doing wrong? Ran it at 50:1
And the 36mm carb does cause for a little bit early of a sign off. The solution to that is to trade your carb (or buy one) for one off of a 125/150. The small bore bikes come with a large bore carb (38mm) that allow them to rev. The 250/300 comes with a 36mm carb that allows for great throttle response, but signs off early. The bikes benefit greatly from making the switch.

Just put the bills pipe on my bike, gonna ride it tomaro and ill tell ya how it is, I have the pro circuit and fmf and scalvini, out of those 3 the scalvini is by far the best, ive been told the bills is way better than the all of them! I ll know tomaro lol, I also have a 38mm carb and a jbonemotorworks ported/head 300sx. My jetting is 178main, 42 pilot, necj 3rd clip. Strickly for vpc12 and its jetted to perfection, this bike is a blast to ride!!!
I've seen all the jetting specs on here...and my bike ran rich and flat with them. It wasn't snappy and didn't bark like a 250 should.
I ended up with a 158 main...38 pilot and suzuki needle on the 3rd clip. With the elevation and warmth in Florida I bet it would work for you.
I put on a pc silencer.with my stock pipe and it completely changed the bike. It rips. Unless you got money to blow I wouldn't mess with the carb or buy a pipe. The silencer made a big difference.
All of that being said, I wanted solid all-around power. Probably a simple request? More power everywhere. Well, after a lengthy discussion with JBone himself that determined what type of fuel I was currently running/would have to run, what was done to the bike already for mods and that I wanted a motor that was smooth and tractable...he was cut loose.
What came back was well packaged for shipping and included the proper items required to set squish according to what needed to be done. An evening putting the bike back together and she was ready to rip.
Unfortunately, I didn't log a lot of time on my JBone Motor before I broke my leg. What I can tell you about the time I did log is that the motor is super smooth and easy to ride. It doesn't hit violently. It's also deceptively fast. You don't even realize how fast you're going on it before it's happening. One of the things JBone had told me was that it would be torquey and put down a lot of power all the way to the ground...very similar to that of a four stroke. Having ridden my 450FE back to back with it, I'd say he delivered exactly what he said he would. In full disclosure to that last statement, I'm new to really riding four strokes. I know and understand that the nuances are something I have to look forward to in order to make the best two stroke/four stroke comparison. But the lack of having to shift and the smooth power delivery, along with the ease to go fast are things I can say without hesitation.
My cell phone photos of his work don't do it justice, but here are some photos. And if you're looking to get some motor work done, JBone at least deserves a call so you can evaluate him yourself. His number is 860-428-5528. And his prices are very competitive for the service you get and how individualize it is.

I rode my 2015 tc250 today with a 158 main and a 40 pilot. I left the 08 rm250 necj needle in and wow, I did notice a difference......4th clip. Bike ran much better than with the 172 main and 42 pilot here in Florida.
My bills pipes exhaust comes in tomorrow.
