Heres my 75 Rupp RMX125 I picked up before Christmas. Not sure how many were made ,but its a cool bike. Made the rear brakes full floating, added a 32mm mikuni from the bing, reinforced the frame before powdercoating it , and have some larger footpegs on the way for it.

Ya ,just locally. Would like to get longer travel 31 mm forks for it, and longer rear shocks.

thats cool i never knew theymade one either,
my younger brothers, b day is two weeks before mine, when i was going to be 9, my dad gives him two helmets for his b day, mine? a Rupp scrambler 3.5 hp only bike the parents ever bought me , man did we ride the shit outta that thing

Very cool and rare bike there, congratulations.
I remember when those came out I wanted one so damned bad. Is it a six speed?
I think I read somewhere that they had frame issues but not sure.

Thanks guys! Ya it's a 6 speed. I heard most old bikes had weak frames so I added some gussets under the motor added a strap on the headset, and completed all the welds.

That is a really cool little bike. I see Reese beat me to it on the Classic 125 class suggestion! Almost picked one up identical to that in Georgia on the way back from the AHRMA national at Road Atlanta back in 1995. Ride report???

Thanks Newman. Ya it rode really well so far on my front street, shifted nice . Spent a lot of time adjusting the trans. as they are very fussy with the adjustment. Sachs 125s were famous for having 6 forward gears and 12 neutrals.

So cool to see this rare bike; I had a 1974 model.
When new, the bike was quite good but build quality and reliability was horrible.
They made pretty good snomobiles and mini-bikes, though.

Somewhere in my files I still have the sales brochure; I'll upload it once I locate it. THX

Ive heard they were a very decent bike in the day, and when they came out they could beat the Yamaha, Suzuki ,and Honda in a straight line race. Ive got a couple restored Rupp Snowmobiles and they are very reliable. That sales brochure would be neat to see!

I wasn't aware Rupp even made bikes... very cool.
Nice sleds you have there as well.. I love seeing the vintage sleds out on the trails.

Thanks guys! Ya there was a few hundred manufactures of sleds in those times. Its only a 340 Nitro but it cooks, and I love beating on it,lol. Im actually in Manitoba. Still waiting to take the Rupp Motocrosser out, been a bit chilly lately.
