My clutch seems to be slipping at wide open ,but only for the first few laps. I was running trans fluid ,now went back to 15-40 shell rotellla, but havnt ridden the bike yet. I have new frictions and steels on order. EBC frictions and Barnett steels. My springs are within spec, but I may replace them. My question is...

Correction. I just got a 76 rm 100 basket and its different . Shallower depth for one less friction and steel ,and one more tooth on the drive gear (63 instead of 62) . 21200-41301 should be the basket you and I need. They seem harder to come by. Clutch plates are the same. Unless someone knows how to fit...

Heres my 75 Rupp RMX125 I picked up before Christmas. Not sure how many were made ,but its a cool bike. Made the rear brakes full floating, added a 32mm mikuni from the bing, reinforced the frame before powdercoating it , and have some larger footpegs on the way for it.

Ive heard they were a very decent bike in the day, and when they came out they could beat the Yamaha, Suzuki ,and Honda in a straight line race. Ive got a couple restored Rupp Snowmobiles and they are very reliable. That sales brochure would be neat to see!

Thanks Newman. Ya it rode really well so far on my front street, shifted nice . Spent a lot of time adjusting the trans. as they are very fussy with the adjustment. Sachs 125s were famous for having 6 forward gears and 12 neutrals.

Thanks guys! Ya it's a 6 speed. I heard most old bikes had weak frames so I added some gussets under the motor added a strap on the headset, and completed all the welds.

78rm125 Started a new thread Flat slide carb on 78 rm125

Im thinking of getting one for my bike. Trying to decide between a 34mm TM or a TMX. Also read that the factory Yamaha 125 from 98 and up had a half moon slide for better throttle response. Anyone have a recommendation ? My engine is stock, but getting the ports cleaned up before the season starts. Thanks ,Chris

I ended up with a 1990 rm 125 34mm Mikuni TM . It has stock a 330 jet in it . Im assuming it will be rich on my stock 1978 motor. Even if I change the premix ratio from 32-1 down to 20-1, am I still going to be over rich? I going to run it this weekend ,if...
