I have ridden on quite some sandy tracks in the Netherlands but nothing can be compared with Lommel. You lose almost all the power of your bike because the sand is so deep. You really drop in the sand and my modern 250F was like an old 125. Track is just unbelievable rough and devious ...

... If RV wins in Lommel, I cut off my balls, put them in a microwave oven and eat them.
But only if you put on Youtube.

Be carful RV is a wild animal.
RJ mentioned once to beat RV you have to ready to die.

I lived years close to the Dutch border and rode quit a lot of tracks.
I know what you are talking about Lomel is special but it is THE race for all Manufactures because they are all close to Lommel.

I have a feeling Ryan has AUG 02 circled in red on his calendar. He might not win but I'll bet he surprises some folks commenting here. The lad has no quit and if he gets rolling and god forbid gets the point lead good luck stopping him.
Valkenswaard will be the 1st real test in MXGP for him.
It is not as it is in Lommel but it gets really bad during the weekend.

By the time this race comes around RV WILL be ready. Round 15 in Aug, he has plenty of time.
OJ Simpson? Did Fred Sue for his purse money?

That's the stuff, testing your setting at a less than race pace so they will be set for a race pace, makes perfect sense

The thing with any track , is that it is never the same as a GP weekend when it comes to bumps... any track that is open to the public all the time like Lommel has a way of getting bumpy that relates to the speed of the riders on it, and when they are regular guys , it doesnt end up the same.. so practice all you want but until you only have the best guys on it , it wont be the same as a race weekend.

Looking forward to Valkenswaard.
A realist...With the depth of GP sand riders RV has a good chance of a lower top 10.Sand monsters, Strijbos, de Dyker, Paulin, Desalle, Febvre, Coldenhoff, Philippaerts,Frossard and Mr Tony will be putting on a sand riding school.No podium for Captain America at Lommel

So when pro's say that they're testing for the outdoors it is pointless because its not race pace. Even if you find settings you're more comfortable on in that condition? Just stop talking...

Sorry, but he'll be top 3 easy by that time. This was his first 2 races in forever. Y'all haven't even seen him go all out for the entire 30+2.

We all seek and arrive at satisfaction through various means. Yours is rather unique and obviously works for and pleases you.

Ryan surely has stepped up to the plate and lots have high expectations for him. I'm sure his are well grounded and focused. I'm also certain that he is happy with his adventure. Ryan is a professional and will always meet or exceed his goals - as we have all had the privilege to watch.

Yes the Euro Moto contingent is very experienced and always will do quite well at Lommel - however if Barcia can achieve a top 3 - surely you must agree that RV is capable more than a less than a top ten?

Sorry but Paulin the guy that is a "sand master", the same guy who eli tomac was 3+ seconds a lap faster than at Latvia? If eli didn't crash at the start then stall his bike, he would have been 20+ seconds ahead. If you think Paulin will beat RV at lommel, pass the good shit over here...

Why can't you just share your opinion without having to go through the whole "Captain America" thing?

It's a shame we don't have a member rating system on here….. sure could weed out the bad ones pretty quickly……….

RV will be very good. Remember how well Barcia did in the third moto 2012 mxdn? He only had a couple weeks time too. RV will have months of practice on that track, plus he is a superior outdoor rider. Look at some of the names Barcia beat. He was only :57 back, and the two were pushing each other at the front.

Race 3 - MX1/Open

1. Antonio Cairoli (ITA, KTM), 35:00.015;
2. Jeffrey Herlings (NED, KTM), +0:03.037;
3. Justin Barcia (USA, Honda), +0:57.823;
4. Tanel Leok (EST, Suzuki), +1:23.257;
5. Ken de Dycker (BEL, KTM), +1:29.784;
6. Maximilian Nagl (GER, KTM), +1:37.774;
7. Clement Desalle (BEL, Suzuki), +1:49.089;
8. Gautier Paulin (FRA, Kawasaki), +1:56.647;
9. Ryan Dungey (USA, KTM), +2:00.599;
10. Rui Goncalves (POR, Honda), +2:08.575;
11. Max Anstie (GBR, Honda), +2:15.264;
12. Tommy Searle (GBR, Kawasaki), -1 lap(s);
13. Davide Guarneri (ITA, KTM), -1 lap(s);
14. Marcus Schiffer (GER, Suzuki), -1 lap(s);
15. Todd Waters (AUS, Suzuki), -1 lap(s);
16. Xavier Boog (FRA, Kawasaki), -1 lap(s);
17. Marc de Reuver (NED, Kawasaki), -1 lap(s);
18. Gert Krestinov (EST, Honda), -1 lap(s);
19. Lawson Bopping (AUS, Yamaha), -1 lap(s);
20. Lauris Freibergs (LAT, Honda), -1 lap
Brother....I am a HUGE RV fan ( he grew up here! )......and I wish him the best at a track like Lommel......but lets be serious......AC is the king there. I don't see anyone beating him there and would not doubt he wins both motos by 30 secs +.

Justin " Only " being 57secs back.......yeah , he was making a push for the lead there. LMFAO! He took 3rd which is an amazing ride.....but with AC out front by almost a minue....that just tells you how damn good that guy is in the sand!

I'm a realist.....and I'm hoping RV is good for something like 2nd - 5th. But who knows.

I have always thought Barcia is pretty good in the Sand. I don't understand why people are surprised at his results at Lommel, like sand is his weakness. I expect if he rode that track again, we would see even better results. Am I suggesting he would compete with Herlings or Cairoli? Not by any means, but I think he would eliminate some of the mistakes and would do a bit better.

Ok dude....that is a complete and utter bullshit comment. Barcia can go out and get a top 3.....but you think RV is only good for a 10th? What in the hell are you talking about? I don't see him beating AC there , but I bet he would be happy with ( as is more than capable ) of getting a 2nd - 5th.

10th place?.....dude that's an insult and you fucking know it. I have a feeling RV is going to be masking a habit of proving you wrong a lot this year.

So many things can go wrong but I expect RV to be ready and go no worse than 2nd at Lommel. I ain't gonna lie when I see videos of that place it looks like pure fun to me. Cool
haha yeah I was the same when I'd watch videos, we've got a pretty sandy track over here that I used to have to race (Hervey Bay for the Aussies) and I'd be watching practice thinking oh man I can't wait to get out there looks so good.. then I got out there and it's shit shit shit shit almost crashed gonna crash almost crashed shit shit haha maybe that's just me but I couldn't get out of there quick enough.. I was smooth to a fault though and I was never sure enough of where my wheels were or where they were going to go, to go any good in the sand..

love watching it hate riding it

Good lord!! Haha.....I seriously got arm pump just watching that! AC is such a badass! It might sound weird , but I'd really like to ride that track. It looks brutal as hell.....but man does it ever look fun!

Maybe they should hold a GP at Lommel just for testing purposes so everybody can get their settings sorted beforehand. Otherwise, why even bother trying to get any settings at all. Stupid Americans. Just when I thought your posts were starting to get slightly less retarded. Wink

His head is like a multi thousand dollar steady-cam. It is incredible to see how much activity is happening from the neck down and the go pro image be so smooth and pristine.

So all this bickering and not one vid of RV at said track? Man, the folks in Europe are slacking!! There must be a million Milestone videos but not one of Lommel?

You know what....I am about 99% sure that you are that little twat MX Geoff. You act like him , you post like him , your comments are about as retarded as his...... If not , you're his evil twin.

Not one ounce of respect from douchebag's like you. Even after what RV did last weekend....you still can't give credit where credit is due.

Sooo....what you're saying is....." The source " doesn't give his wife enough , and then goes and yells at the neighbors because of his lack of performance? Some how , some way....some American made him look like a dumbass and he's never been able to live with it.
