It'll reckon it'll be worth paying to watch Herlings next year. Will he be faster than Tomac (the actual fastest guy right now in my opinion) who must be way up on the Honda GP team's list of ways to spend next year's budget.

I am equally excited for both. I must say I'm quite impressed by Nagl, DeSalle, Cairoli and #4 on the 250s.... sorry, I forgot his name (He's the teammate of Herlings' former teammate who wears #1 - a man whose name I also cannot remember right now....) That's quite a change from recent years when I could not have given two effs for anything MXGP related.

I get excited about watching RV2 race Motocross... The series as a whole... the MXGPs are a POS second rate circus.

Ok, enough now, come clean and admit that you're just a trouble causing 'Euro' doing all you can to make the Americans look bad.

I would say with RV racing the GP's now I'm more excited to watch them than SX. Dungey has a strong hold on this championship for now, and that takes away from it a little bit. Every year I hope for a close points battle all the way to Vegas, but it rarely happens. Don't get me wrong I'm still like a kid on Christmas before either broadcast. Smile
Exactly what Chip just said!

I think the GP's have a lot of our excitement because it's kinda new to have a series champion over there running that series. I tried to keep up with ZO338 when he was over there , but it just wasn't quite the same. I remember trying to watch every second when Schmit and Parker were over there. But to me....RV is on a different level. And with as much of an animal AC222 is.....I think she'll be a battle royal for most the series. The golden years of Lackey and LaPorte'.....those are tough to beat and that is what started the whole GP thing for me when I was 12 - 14yrs old! Cycle news baby!

I just hope and pray that both make it till the end....unhurt! An injury will ruin everything! From either one of them!

It was a great dirt bike weekend! Daytona was excellent, and as a paying customer for the MXGP live stream package, I had enough racing content for hours and hours of racing. Besides the absolute shit track in Thailand, I was still excited to watch the racing. I remain every bit as engaged with SX as I was when the season started. Plenty of good racing and great stories being played out every weekend. Plus I have been recording ax as well. All good for me man!

At the risk of being flamed, I have to say, i'm probably more excited about the MXGP class than SX right now for some reason. Don't get me wrong, I still look forward to SX races, but it's definitely been toned down quite a bit. Maybe it's all the banter back and forth, or maybe it's our national pride at stake...I dunno..

Anyone else feeling the same?
With Dungey winning every weekend and Ryan pretty much a shoe-in for the championshipUnsure ...

And the MXGP being in the early stages with a possibility of four riders taking on the championship...

I'm not surprised you feel this way at all, I do too.

Still I am very pleased/happy for Dungey, I hope the points do tighten up a bit however.

2015 is, and will, be a very good year for motocross.

Life is awesome!Wink

I just like motocross way more than supercross and mxgp now has several riders that can win any race, making it even more interesting.

I know, right now I have no desire to watch SX. If JS7 was racing SX I would. Its just not the same with out either JS or RV racing it. RD,KR,TC just don't get me excited like if it was JS & RV going at it.

I get excited anticipating watching the GP races, then they start and they seem so boring, or hard to get into. It seems like they don't follow a story on the track, it's like they're just jumping all over showing whichever riders for whatever reason... Then BAM commercial, no foreplay, just a quick dry cut into commercials. However I do like some of the more cinematic shots that they do.

SX is something i watch as love racing, but find that i can multi task or pop in & out of the room while its on. Mx on the other hand be it GP or AMA is something that glues my ass to the chair. I even find myself unable to press pause to piss.
I used to love SX this way ( Cooper, Larocco, Bradshaw etc ) but i think its now just a circus cash cow themed to please the average Joe who cheers for the guy on the red bike ! While chewing up & ending the season premature for the real racing to follow.......Outdoors

But then again opinions are like butt holes, everyone has one.

What's SX? I'm happy for you Machine. My only bitch is how the GP's have become a profit orientated series putting the riders at risk on shit tracks. The riders who are the actual backbone of the series are being used in a undignified way and most have just accustomed themselves to a survival mode at these fly away travesties. I am sad the new fans of the GP's are forming a opinion of Grand Prix Motocross based on these shit hole tracks and I hope you can accept a apology for the quality of these first couple of races, hang in there. The real stuff is coming!

Lol...maybe a little but honestly I've always watched the GP's when possible cause it's frikkin' moto but couldn't really gauge how fast those guys were cause there was no yardstick. Ryan "The Yardstick" Villopoto brings the whole thing into focus and I guess...exciting. At least for me. I didn't dump SX but.....just sayin'.Blush

I get it. I just think from any recent visit of a visiting GP guy (Desalle at Unadilla a few years ago), or a meeting at the MXoN, it's obvious that the GP guys have quite a few talented riders. At least if you're paying attention. Smile

We're at the point where the "shiny and new" has worn off of this Supercross season, Dungey has a 40-point lead, and barring something freaky happening, will be the next champ. Add RV joining into the GP series, and it makes for fertile bench racing fodder, and a lot of added interest there.

I know what you mean but seeing incredible skills like this at Daytona make me smile too. Maybe one year we can get Eli in the World Championship mix?

High speed pass at end.

Iv often wondered why you guys in the USA limit your self to only appreciating amazing moto skills of half of the worlds fastest racers? (Yes I put GP and AMA on an equal footing) Living in Europe it's perfectly fine to watch, follow, admire all the GP and AMA guys and has been for the past 30 odd years, you guys have missed a lot of greats Carlqvist, Malherbe, Noyce, Thorpe, Smets, Bervoets, Bolley, Everts, Coppins, Ramon just to pick a few from the 80s, 90s and 00s. Your late to the GP party but welcome aboard, it's gonna be a great summer!!!!

For me, I live in the sparse high desert of Oregon and don't have internet that's fast enough to watch live moto on. Tonight, I was excited to watch the tv recording of Thailand but somehow, even though it said Thailand it was Qatar all over again. I hope it doesn't fuck up any other races. Please quit stereotyping me, I love all moto. The other dudes, they have no excuse. Wink

SX is every year, so is MXGP and AMA Nationals. This, however, is something more exclusive than even the olympic games which take place every 4th year. This is the wet dream of every motocrossfan worldwide got damn it!

I'm so impressed by RV and all the other people in charge who made this happen. Can't wait for Argentina and it will be a very sad day when RV retires from motocross. Hopefully it will inspire both YS and MX Sports to create new events in the future that will bring the best together in an even bigger scale.
