Apparently so, ha ha.. A local fast guy showed up on one and while it was clanking pretty hard getting hammered through the whoops, it probably went faster than any DRZ400 ever has.

I can't remember exactly what, or where I saw it, but just this week wasn't there a video or something of a guy doing an endurocross type of event on one? Maybe someone knows what I'm talking about or can clarify what it was.

Wasn't MX, but everyone around here still talks about Burleson showing up on with mirrors and signals to dominate one of our XC events.. F'd with the local pros by using the blinkers when he passed em!! Back in the mid to late 90's... 80% rider

Guy Perret did the same here, rode his street legal Husaberg to a brutally tough XC about 100 miles from home, entered the course after the race had already begun, caught and passed the leaders and rode home. Or so legend has it.

When Rodney Smith first came back from racing the GP's in the early '90's, He had just signed with Suzuki to race off road and came out to the Sandhill Ranch round of the Golden State Series with his new RMX. The fog that day had a visibility of only 20-30 yards so all you could really see was his headlight and brake light going up and down the hills as he won both motos of the 250 pro class.

Years ago I remember a video of Ivan Tedesco riding a big red pig on a motocross track. He was hamming it up, using the blinkers and the horn, etc.

I just hope he used the proper signals when flicking that thing to the side in the air Smile

Here you go...

It's impressive how fast he was going with such mushy suspension.

I remember Tommy Martin ripping around Hillbilly Hills on an XR 650 back when his family owned the track. I was on 80's at the time, either 13 or 14 years old. Watching him on that thing was unreal.

My dad let take his KDX 200 out on the practoce track when I was still on 60's... I could barely touch the pegs at the time and I remember thinking that was the baddest bike in all the land.

It was when Teefus was talking about making a run at LL's in the 45+. He got pretty serious about his riding for awhile.

Still can't believe he fired that dog up with street tires though.
