He has to have that section memorized. No way his mind can process the terrain that fast. I don't even think the piece of machinery in my avatar could slice through a canyon that fast.

This is not the fastest video I have seen of him either. Heard him before and after you could see him through sandy whoops at finke without the throttle backing off once. On a factory ktm 500 that's fast.

Have had Toby and a few others blow past me at Hattah when lapping me, warp speed in Sandy whoops, fuckers are crazy.

I know Caselli and Chris Blais were fast in their attempts at Dakar, but his 3rd place in his first attempt... mad respect earned. Dude is a beast for sure.

MX is inhetently dangerous but going that fast is just plain fuckin stupid imo. If he doesn't care about living or dying that's his choice, just not something I would do on a dirt bike.

I think that's his practice track...

Dakar isn't about having speed like that. Plenty of super fast Americans (as well as others) have raced Dakar and couldn't win it. Navigation is the most important thing from what I've heard. Hopefully Toby has the speed and the navigation to pull it off. 3rd in his rookie season isn't a bad start!

I dont think its his practice track, i think its just a track they are using to test for the Hattah Desert Race later on in the year. Toby and another name you yanks might recognise, Tye Simmonds, have been posting some scary videos of them holding Factory 500's wide open on rough tracks for a couple of days now.

Takes a completely different brain to want to go that fast, they must just turn off the part that recognises consequences, the whole time id be thinking about how bad things could go.
