If you are thinking the series is going to go like the 1st qualifying of the year on a 1 lined slippery flat track then you are mistaken. My comment wasnt a dig at Europeans at all. I think there is a shit ton of talent obviously as we saw at Des Nations but I dont judge the competiveness of a series that, btw has been won by the same 2 guys easily the last fews years, off of 1 opening qualifying round.

seriously, are you just looking to be offended at this point? I think I could say "Tony is the king of the world and will use RV as a lawn boy after this year" and you would look at my location and translate that to "the GPs suck, America is awesome."

Would love to see the top flattrack / TT riders on that track with groomed corners. Easily the worst track between all the US and GP tracks by far. Should have thrown some whoops, berms, and a camelback in it and called in World GPSX. Truly disappointed. The top 10 guys have to be shaking their heads. I am ready for round 2 already.

What Euros said it was good??

No one likes the Qatar track, thats always been the unanimous opinion among every one who has ever mentioned it.

We all know how RV2 doesn't set the world on fire at the first race of a long season. I bet he would be happy with a top 5 overall finish tomorrow. Anyone who has raced a new track nevermind a new series knows it feels weird being out there in the first couple practices. Lets not get all worked up until we see a few gate drops here.

Yep I misunderstood, I thought you meant that you didn't think it was competitive. I agree it won't be like this all year

Watch Villopoto now go and smoke the field in the actual qualifying race . . .

But bragging rights aside, and although it's early days yet, this is what I was talking about when I said those who think the top GP riders are a bunch of also-ran chumps are going to be in for a shock.

RV's top 10 in timed qualifying shows he can be competition in the GP's, not a bad showing considering the GP riders have more experience on that difficult AMA style SX track. Let's see how things develop when they are banging bars together rather than racing against themselves. RV is probably just playing cat and mouse with everyone or showing his experience by getting a gate pick 1/4 of the way down the gate, no one knows what his strategy is and he could surprise some people.

So one 20 + 2 race. What is that for? If RV DNFed from a mechanical is he done?? Literally season over? Maybe its just for gate picks again?

Only an idiot would call the GP riders also-ran chumps, but we do have some of those here in Vital. I'll guarantee you RV never called them also-ran chumps.

I'll say this. If RV wins this round, it doesn't show anything yet. Likewise, if Tony (or anyone else for that matter) wins this round, it doesn't show anything yet. Just sit back and enjoy the season guys. Don't blow your wads too early on this argument because there's a full season to prove shit.

zennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

IMO a top five is good enough to have a good gatepick for tomorrow. A good start tomorrow can whipe everything from today of the table. Just saying it's exciting to watch because we've been waiting so long for it to start but on saturday the points are earned....not today

A lot of the riders have said that winning this weekend is not important, guys like Desalle and Cairoli (and RV of course) know only too well that it's a long season.

When I picked up the MXGP game for the PS4 and raced this track I thought what a horrible track. Is this actually just like the real track? From watching that GoPro footage it is exactly like the game. Or should I say the game is exactly like the real track. I'd like to hear some comments from the riders what they think of it.

Looks like Vital server is gonna need a new set of reed's and a roost boost. The bog hit during timed practice for the practice race. Wait until something really big happens the whole interwebs could come down.

No, absolutely not. For what it's worth 99.9% time I'm on Vital, I use my phone so I can't even see location. I just misunderstood that's all

Whos going to be the lucky rider who wins all that holeshot money...wasnt it 250 euro's or something like that ...sheesh what a bounty.
But seeing as they are in Qatar they will probably throw in half a sheep head or two.

WTF, season over? No, next session is Qualifying Race. Who finishes first gets first gate pick for tomorrows 2 motos. When you DNF you get last gate pick, so you'll be on the outside of the first corner. Finish in top 8 tonight, you get a decent gate, that's all.

Actually, if RV's wins this round is shows more than if any other rider wins it.
