He is looking great out there! If he keeps this up through all of SX the confidence he will gain before entering MX will be huge. I can see him making a podium before the year is done and when we get outdoors I expect at least a couple moto wins out of him.

Damn straight. I'm stoked that Yosh picked him up. They're going to get a lot of bang for their buck with Blake.
I bet his bargaining power goes up by the end of the year.

How could you not expect to see a fourth from BB?

In this packed field I just did not expect him to get that far forward. I thought he would be good, but not that good. His past does not indicate this kind of results. Blake has beat some pretty big names, Tomac, Tickle, Seely, Reed, Hill, Millsaps, etc

have you followed his SX seasons for the last few years?

Great result for Blake. I am hoping he continues improving in SX. Really looking forward to seeing what he has to offer in MX in the big boy class.

He's always been good, but rarely was he consistent enough to show it. Everybody sleeps on Baggett's SX skills, but he has multiple wins in the 250 class. He's riding well and other top guys are struggling. I thought it was feasible, but I'm somewhat of a believer in Blake.

Also, the bike is good and the program seems to be too. He's working with RJ now which is probably doing good for his confidence. We know RJ has some to spare.

Love the BB/RJ teamwork! Seems obvious something is going on! Hey, doesn't BB also stand for "Bad Boy"? Smile

I think we may see a great ride from Blake at Daytona. Then once the outdoors get here I believe he will be quite competitive!!

Ya good for BB on some solid sx rides this year. If he keeps this up and stays healthy, the rest of the 450 class had better be worried about the outdoors...

He was making a little time on Canard for a couple laps there and actually had the faster best lap. He's really starting to improve.

The deal with JT is if he podiums anywhere besides Daytona.

He had the 3rd fastest lap time too.

He's been doing really good this season in the 450 class i enjoy his progress big time. I expect him on the box in Daytona. (rewatch his ride last year there - unstopable) If he can stay injury free and keeps on building on this i honestly see him battle for moto wins in outdoors.

Because SX has never been his strong point. His wins in the 250s (two I think) were based on some unusual circumstances or at Daytona which rides more like a MX track.

Yeah. Unusual circumstances like Blake coming into a season healthy and getting good enough starts to be competitive in a 15 lap race? Blake was as good of a SX rider as his peers when he came onto the scene. He had some setbacks but has always had the skills.

He won Dallas his rookie year in 2010. He only has one win at Daytona in '11 along with Vegas that year which wasn't unusual circumstances at all.

I just hope he stays healthy till the outdoor series. He could be a real contender. Oh and Hell yes I wanna see the kid on the podium. JT$ has gotta be getting a little concerned at this point. LOL

In a way, I'm kinda not surprised he's doing well just now, BECAUSE of the way he is doing it...

On a lites bike, he never was just outright crazy aggressive ridiculous speed indoors, balls out... He was actually the guy who seemed to be a bit slower, more consistent, more methodical etc... a change of riding style for the 450s is needed for sure, and it seems working with RJ is helping that, but his mentality of being calculated and consistent seems to be working, he looks pretty calm to me.

in before JT$ has to walk home after the race when BB4 gets a podium.

I agree with you. I wouldn't be surprised if BB4 finished on the podium at Daytona. Also, once we go outdoors I think Blake will bring a lot of intensity.
