Drinking a few beers, watching 90's moto vids. Damn, what a cool time. I didn't really ride in the 90's but I became a moto nut in the 90's so it's near and deer to my heart. Shit like this inspires me more than anything else out there.
Watching Pedro's segment of Terrafirma 2, pretty insane. A few of the things he does are gnar even by today's standards.
What was his story? I remember him in the game Supercross 2000 and that's about it. I don't know much else about the guy.
Pedro's segment starts at about the 31:00 mark

Saw him at one of the SX's last year, Houston I think.
He's doing good.
I was more curious about what his run up was. His amateur and pro career and why it didn't "pan out" (I put that in quotes because we measure guy's success by race wins, but watching that video makes him look like a complete success based on his bike skills alone). Like I said, I just don't know all that much about him. I try to have a solid grasp of moto history haha

Supercross rider Rene Reyes Slain in Mexico
By DC
Supercross rider Rene Reyes, who participated in the 2008 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series and was one of Mexico's top riders, was murdered yesterday in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. Racer X has learned that Rene, a privateer rider in the AMA Supercross class who wore #601, participated in a race in Mexico on Sunday, then decided to stay in Cd. Juarez with friends afterwards. Apparently, a gang broke into the house they were staying and killed everyone inside. According to his friend and fellow racer Pedro Gonzalez, Reyes left behind his wife, who is carrying their first child. He was 24 years old.
Thanks.
I don't give two fucks how the riders act today, in my mind this is what moto is still all about. When I go out to the oregon coast this is the mindset and Playlist I take with me! Now if only I could take the skill sets too.
