Substitute "Alessi" for any other name in the main. With the right sort of carnage in the first turn.any of these guys can win it. If that wasn't true they might as well draw straws and eliminate the risk factor.

I know this goes way back but the dude was a super beast on the cr supermini at cycle ranch. Jeff hauled the mail too and I'm sure he still does. Def was something to watch and cool to be apart of that era watching some of these guys now when they were young. Got the chance to see villopoto on superminis too. Seeing them back then as kids as I was young to and seeing their accomplishments now is pretty cool.

Mike is doing pretty damn good this year for what has been repeatedly referred to one of, if not the deepest field ever. During the off season a lot of people were saying he would be lucky to make mains this year because of the depth of the 450 veterans and the really fast rookies that were coming in. That is all, I just thought MA800 deserved a little kudos. ......carry on

Can we just verify we're talking about the same Mike Alessi? Let's take a look at his results so far this year just to make sure...
Can we just verify we're talking about the same Mike Alessi? Let's take a look at his results so far this year just to make sure. This Mike Alessi is having a really shitty year according to these results:

Anaheim 1: 9
Phoenix: 18
Anaheim 2: 19
Oakland: Didn't Race (His "knee" hurt)
Anaheim 3: 17
San Diego: 13

Mike Alessi will most assuredly never win a Supercross main event. Ever. He was nearly lapped twice last night in San Diego. He's done as a top contender in Supercross. Looking back on his results over the last decade, he never was a top contender.
If you brushed up on reading comprehension you would see that I said he is doing pretty good for what has been referred to as one of the deepest fields in sx history. And if you were to continue using your pea brain you would also see that I said with all of the vets and really good rookies coming this year, lots of people said he would be lucky to make the mains. So let me dumb it down a bit so you can understand, Mike deserves some credit because he's always struggled with sx and he's consistently making mains while a lot of guys that are considered better riders have struggled to make some mains with all the talent on the track.

We get it, you don't like him.....I don't expect any different from typical posters like yourself that when you see a thread with his name in the title or anything else for that matter that you don't like, you start foaming at the mouth and can't wait to shit on whoever you need too in order to get point accross......fucking dork.

The only way you can say anything negative about Mikes riding is if you placed ahead of him last night.

Mike is the hole shot king..

Mike is making main events..

We need 20 riders....and Mike fills one of the gates..

He may not win but one thing is for sure! he will always have enough gas to get back home..(holeshot money) Smile

Mike is way better at motocross..

I think most if not all of those battles have been outdoors. He's good but he would need some serious luck

Personally I think MA has a confidence problem. We all heard his podium speech where he clearly believes he can't run up front. In past years he would holeshot and then become a road block. Lately it seems he has been able to actually run at the leaders speed for a few laps, and then he starts making mistakes and fading. i think it is all in his head, and before he can do it, he needs to believe he can.

1. I never read where anybody said he wouldn't make mains this year. That's just dumb.
2. Mike isn't a threat to win. He's a top 5 starter and a midpack finisher. Nothing at all wrong with that! Not sure why people think that is a disappointment!?
3. Mike has never been known to be a great SX rider. It seems his whoop speed is greatly increased over the years.
4. There are some strange folks that post here...

non factory bike and most of his support coming from one man, I'd say he is doing extremely well.

Props to Mike for keeping with it through everything . Dude has allot of heart and I for one admire that in a person...More power to him. I would love to see him on the podium before the SX season Is over. He was one of the friendliest riders in the pits year before last at Unadilla. Went out of his way to take a few minutes to speak to my wife, pose for a picture and even gave her the jersey off of his back. He made forever fans from my crew....A truly kind dude with a big heart...

He's doing good this year, but the guy has never looked comfortable on a sx track. Keep up the hard work Mike, ignore all the haters.

I honestly though he would be barely making main events this year. But he has definitely proved me wrong. Gotta give him credit for constantly working on his supercross skills and getting better every year.

I ripped the guy who said he could win a main but I like Mike. Despite the Tedesco and Tickle incidents I still like the guy. He seems like he has a very good heart maybe just sometimes the pressure from his dad gets to him and he does dumb shit on the track.

Not to be a dick. Alessi would do awesome in NHRA. The dudes reaction time is fucking siiiiiick. Like superhero sick. Tear the wings off flies in mid air sick.

I've hated alessi my whole life because if the prick he was as a kid to me and everyone else that ever lined up on the gate with him. but kids are assholes and people grow up. And mike has definitely grown up. He doesn't run his mouth. And he's thankful for everything he's attempted to accomplish. You dickwads that won't get off his shit have some serious problems.

Seriously though. Get hooked up in a funny car and start fucking people up royally down he drag strip. He could do it like no other. AND MAKE MONEY DOING IT. mx don't pay.

Just out of curiosity, when did you line up with Alessi?
2/9/2015 1:32pm Edited Date/Time 2/9/2015 1:36pm
1st time 1996 super peewee Ponca city. Mike said why are you wearing last years gear ? I had 1995 wulf sport on. Tony was his usually dickhead self. Asked who was gonna pull the holeshot "LEM or KTM"? I felt like being a dick back apparently and said cobra. I pulled the holeshot. Led for 5 laps. Made a mistake mike passed me. Got all of it on video from my mom. Cool experience for sure. Tried to pass back and my bike quit. Overheated. Bud Mamone built me a 72cc super modified cobra that needed dual radiators and i only had one. We were so far ahead my dad pushed my bike across the line with me and ended up 5th.

Numerous other times growing up on 60s 80s and superminis. My starts were great but I wasn't anywhere near raw talented as mike when I was older. I peaked on a 50. Lol.

But back to mike. The guy is standup. And talented. Stop hating him for his past and his dad. He isn't either of those anymore.
