I am with you though, BMX is still the most wholesome family sport on the planet. I went back to the tracks last year and I swear time has stood still for 30 years. Crazy that a lot of the same people that were at the tracks in the '70s are still there. Still the same respectful crowd, the same kids in great shape making good decisions, all good stuff.
Now if only my kids were interested

If im more used to a 20 inch (although as i get older im feeling more cramped) Is the 26 going to feel way too much like a mt bike and the 24 feel more BMX or is it one of those things where once you get on that 26 and have the room you basically just fall in love.
- I picked up this redline MX 24 on CL for $125
Added the laid back seat post and taller RL bars off amazon for like $25
Made it fit a lot better

If you ride an 80cc or a 150f or smaller ? train on 20inch BMX
If you ride a 125/250f or bigger? train on 24inch bmx
26s / 29s or any mtb/dirt jumper / or anything with suspension ? is pretty much useless
If those BMX bikes are too small for you? and you feel uncomfortable on them? and you start to wonder about getting suspension on 24 ? or anything like that ?
you're too old for motocross
as MC proved
True BMX (bicycle motocross) skills translate to motocross skills - always standing - always in attack mode
When you train enough BMX you never want to sit down
Ever
Later the skill will translate into you not wanting to sit down! but you are forced to sit down once you hit the corner! but because of your dislike for sitting down you're going to be looking for any excuse to stand up as soon as you exit the corner! and this lazy ass riding while sitting down? is not possible anymore due to comfort
I don't care how old you are, once you figure out a 20, you'll sell everything else.
