GSD all the way. Excellent guard dogs and companions. I will say though that my dog requires a lot of mental stimulation, like playing games and stuff.

Brodie is an Australian Shepherd/Border Collie (not a service dog). Not the best track dog but he still goes with us to the tracks on photo shoots and most other places. He's usually leashed to me and my 400lbs wheelchair as I roll around the tracks. Like somebody else said he's a herder and will instinctively try and herd. Girls, guys, young, and old come up to us to pet and compliment him. He is extremely smart, a friend to most (very protective), and he puts a smile on my face every day.
He just turned 6 on the 22nd. We almost lost him the end of October due to Anaphylactic Shock, most likely caused by a spider bite. Learn about it below

My suggestion is familiarize yourself with the condition and take quick appropriate actions if you see any of the symptoms. Get your pal to the emergency room as quickly as possible.

Anaphylactic shock is a rare, life-threatening, immediate allergic reaction to food, an injection, or an insect sting. The most common signs occur within seconds to minutes after exposure to the antigen. Dogs differ from other domestic animals in that the major organ affected by anaphylactic shock is the liver, rather than the lungs. Therefore, gastrointestinal signs are the major signs of anaphylactic shock rather than respiratory signs. These signs include sudden onset of diarrhea, excessive drooling, vomiting, shock, seizures, coma, and death. The dog's gums may be pale, and the limbs may feel cold. The heart rate is generally very fast, but the pulse is weak. There is no facial swelling.
Anaphylaxis is an extreme emergency. If you think that your dog is having an anaphylactic reaction, seek emergency veterinary assistance immediately. A veterinarian can give intravenous injections of epinephrine (adrenalin) to counteract the reaction. Treatment for other associated problems, such as difficulty breathing, may also be needed.

This is Cooter, my moms boyfriends shepard/lab mix. Lanky as hell and is probably the most awkward, goofy lookin dog youll see but loves to climb up on your chest when youre on the couch. Got him for free off kijiji!
My dog, Belle. Shes a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Kinda f*cked up, because her mother gave birth to her dad (a different litter, the owners didnt intent to breed the but they never got him fixed and it kinda happened when they werent home). Doesnt have any big defects, just isnt all right in the head
My sisters dog, Miley. Shes a cavalier/poodle mix and we got her for free from the same person I got my dog from, just a different owner thankfully. But shes pretty much deaf.
And our old Golden Molly, whom we had to put down in 2013 because of internal bleeding at 14 years old
One day when mom and I went to the shelter to get the papers to get our current golden fixed (booger trys to hump the 2 little dogs) we saw a tiny little blue nose pitty puppy and almost took her home, it was hard not to!
Pretty much any dog can make a great moto dog, all depends on how you raise and train them. Id highly getting a rescue dog from a shelter over from a breeder. Theyre usually the most loving and caring, and you get to save a life
And if youre wondering, yes we do own a zoo. Between my mom, sister and I we have 4 dogs, 2 cats, 2 rabbits, one hamster, one english budgie, 1 corn snake, 2 ball pythons, 2 leopard geckos and some fish
