BSME/MBA, VP for leading US power plant development/asset management company. Former Navy nuke, spent 6 years on fast attack submarines before entering the civilian power generation world. Over the last 30 years I've worked with just about every type of plant, from nuclear, gas, wind, solar, geothermal, even managed some biofuel plants, and I still love every minute of it.

Run Fullnoise.com.au on a day to day basis (Australian Motorcycle Website) Look after the daily news on both the Off-Road and Road sites and do the occasional product / bike review and interview on the Off-Road site depending on time.

That's the main job.

Also do a little moto photography with a few of the factory teams using my images throughout the year in the series they can use my images from.

Help a few teams / manufactures and other media outlets out with writing and sending out press releases in Australia.

Wrote and supplied race reports and images to another Australian web site during the Australian Motocross Championship in 2014, writing two different race reports with different rider quotes after each round was fun to start with!

Have been supplying Aussie mag - DIRT ACTION - with feature articles and interviews since March this year, pretty much 1-2 articles a month.

Have one of the kids home with me 2-3 days a week, run the other to school and back each day.

And at the moment also helping out a mate at a local warehouse, picking orders and unloading containers during the Christmas period to earn some extra cash in order to hopefully purchase some new camera equipment in the coming weeks / Months.

Think that about covers it.

Team Ideal-Way cool working with you son. Curious how things are in the Midwest because in the east we've had a very difficult time getting ANYTHING done from machine shops. Two different shops took our work and promised to have it done within a couple of weeks but in each case they hadn't even started at the end of two weeks. Rather than go through this a 3rd time we finally bought a 15K dollar used lathe and did the work ourselves.
it is enjoyable at times, sometimes we're to much alike lol, it's worth it though.

we are swamped, I'm pretty good friends with two other guys that have their own machine/fab shops and they're slammed too. we took the hit in 08/09 then lost our biggest customer to China in early 2011 but went out knocking on doors and now we're trying to figure out if we want to take the next big step of adding on and hiring another employee. bummer you couldn't get done what you needed in a timely manner, sometimes you have to burn the midnight oil, but to keep people coming back and happy it has to be done. at least you have a cool machine to use now.

I pay the bills as a firefighter/paramedic. My schedule lets me work a couple days a week part time in a local shop which helps out with building bikes!

Do you mind me asking what company you work for? Sounds interesting.

Parts and accessory guy at a multi line dealership on and off for the last 30 years. I had a painting company in the early 90's but got ripped off so I've been back at the counter slinging parts ever since.

I work for a company called Clarity. We basically take what you, the customer, has to say about all these products you love and deliver insights to the manufacturers so they can make better stuff.

It's actually a pretty fun gig.

I just noticed this quote from SlowMoFo:

"Don't allow native morons to breed and keep foreign ones out" -Dr. Henry K. Goddard-

and the thing that occurs to me is how absolutely hard it is for someone like Roczen or Wilson to remain in the USA
while
at the same time how absolutely easy it is for any illegal immigrant from South America to - just stay.....

I'm one of the nine US based AMG - Mercedes Benz Driving Academy performance driving instructors. Basically we go to major tracks in the USA (Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Lime Rock, Road Atlanta, Road America, COTA) and I instruct high net worth value people the performance envelope of AMG vehicles and help them learn how to drive these vehicles in a performance environment out on a race track. We also work with media (social, traditional TV / print / corporate promotions) and help promote the AMG brand as needed when we are at these tracks.

I spent 4 years in the US Navy back in the early 90's. Been in the touring music business for the last 23 years. I have worked with a great number of act's from all walks of music, 3 Tenors to Sir Paul, Although the last 10 seem to have been in Pop. Not what I expected to do with my Navy training, but it has provided quite well for my family, and keeps me riding something on 2 wheels.

Some GREAT careers on here so far!!

After high school I was racing BMX and worked for Malcolm Smith Distributing pulling orders to ship to dealers around the country. We used shopping carts that had handlebars attached, and also used skateboards. It made for great training all day long, wheeling those around the warehouse. Smile

From there I went to work at BMX Action magazine, working in the darkroom, developing black and white film, and doing prints. During the time there I also learned how to shoot photos, write stories, and put together a monthly editorial package. I later became the editor there.

Following that, I had a short stint as the Redline BMX team manager.

Super BMX and Freestyle magazine followed that. At that point I was doing a complete magazine about every three weeks. When those closed up, I switched over to Mountain Biking magazine.

Next? That was Specialized Bicycles, working in the art and marketing departments for about seven years.

Moving back to So. Cal., I worked at PPI for a short time, before they moved to NASCAR. I also did a stint with a company called Ed2Go, doing educational web sites.

From there it was Transworld MX, and then Vital MX.

You have amazing boobs for a single father! On a serious note, how old are your kiddos? I raised a son not biologically mine & a 3 yr old & 18 month old by myself, found an amazing wife & step mother about 5 years ago though. All teens now & surprisingly turned out okay even with all my faults. Hats off to you, single fathers don't get enough respect.

Can't have the fake Bobbie pics in the house so figured use it here to enjoy my view when reading some of the BS that comes across people's key boards in here.

And my daughter will be 5 in January. And you are correct Xracer, single dads or any good dads don't get the credit when credit is due. But we don't do it for the credit. Do it cause we love our children. Biological or not. You sound look a good dad for doing what your doing. Good things come to good people..
