Their policies may be strict, thats what was signed up for so NOBODY can argue about it now, remeber all the crap about PED's in the sport and how to get rid off them well this may work but it will also catch a lot of other things that go on and sadly for JS7 he is the one paying the price.

BUT they are only strict if you are CAUGHT cheating.

I KNOW HE GOT A TUE AFTERWARDS BUT NOT BEFORE THE TEST SO HE WAS TECHNICALLY CHEATING. Like it or not (ps I dont as this was shaping up to be a great season) that is where we are.

Again I go back to Alain Baxter who was stripped of bronze medal in winter olympics after the ski of his life, all because he used the same brand of nasal spray but in a different country which had different ingredients. Did he appeal/ was he successful/ is he in record books as winning a medal NO!

'Technically, it is as simple as the paper work'

Is it? His failure to follow the correct procedure has to be called into question. Claiming negligence, ie "I forgot" immediately raises concerns about the persons intent, and that has to be investigated.

As an NFL fan James was surely aware that he was taking the same medication that had featured prominently in many high profile doping cases. According to various sources he would have signed various forms to say that he wasn't taking anything. As far as I can tell applying for a TUE seems a reasonably thorough process, it's not a 5 minute exercise and forgetting to submit an application doesn't seem like 'just a minor oversight'. Other teams had their TUES in place.

Stewart said he has been prescribed a form of medication to aid concentration (presumably Adderall) since late in 2012. First of all we don't know if that was a legitimate prescription, presumably he had been taking the medication throughout the 2013 season. Im not sure if a TUE was needed in 2013 but it would certainly seem as though he failed to apply for one for 2014. Why did it take five months to present his medical documentation to FIM/WADA when he had a longstanding prescription which could surely have been verified fairly quickly? Was his dosage called into doubt? By the sound of it (Weege on latest podcast) the FIM either requested that he visit a specialist university that could confirm his condition, or he took it upon himself to do so. Was that necessary to prove his innocence in the case of the failed test, or for his TUE application going forward?

The easy thing to do is assume James is completely innocent, maybe he was (Im certainly not saying he wasn't). But you can't just overlook the fact that he failed to declare he was taking a substance which has been proven to improve sports performance and is regularly abused by athletes in other sports.

Time served? What time did he serve? He was never suspended or allowed to not race. While I do think the penalty is a bit harsh, he definitely should have been suspended for some races in 2015. At the end of the day, the responsibility is 100% on Stewart, so he can't really be mad about it.

I think "time served" refers to the races Stewart was disqualified from last year. Technically he has already "missed" 8 races (3 SX + 4 MX + Monster Cup). Those results do not count, so it's the same as him not being there.

In accordance with Article 10.8 of the CAD, the CDI ruled that Mr Stewart is disqualified from all competitions in which he participated (including the four rounds of the 2014 national Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Series) subsequent to the collection of the sample (12 April 2014) and all results he obtained in those competitions are cancelled with all the resulting consequences including forfeiture of any medals, points and prizes. The FIM will therefore modify the rankings of the 2014 Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, accordingly.

It's still unreal to me that someone in his position didn't have a TUE in place before the season. I just read the message boards, and even I knew that you needed a TUE for adderall.

Nah...i'm not stuck in 09'...pleanty has happened and been said since then however.. ... Did you not see the overwhelming enjoyment the Reed camp seemed to have had when the speculation/rumors of Stewart failing the test was first being circulated.. ...they were having a very hard time keeping their mouth shut and not diclosing they new who it was...Not just someone failing, but it was James Stewart...

.No secret Reed doenst like Stewart....which is fine, but my question and curiosity was.... Since Reed would have no problem seeing James disappear..... It must be weird that his "idol" MC, his new teamate JG33 and a slew of others dudes he calls pals are backing James with "let him ride" support.....while Reed was probably smiling like a cheshire cat when the news broke...maybe not...suprised he hasnt said a word ....which says alot....

Brilliant idea, that'll work. Maybe you should have a think about why drug testing ever came about? Riders dieing on climbs in the TSF for instance?

So because he's been racing all his life, we should accept his blatantly unfactual statement on drug testing (the current iteration of which we can pretty safely assume he wasn't subjected too) as legion?

Ok. Let's apply that logic to everything else. No more questioning politicians, they've been doing it all their life. Why have government then? Don't question the judge, she's been doing it all her life. Courtroom? Not needed, she just needs an office next to Mc. Really? Carry on.

If James is adhd and needed the drug why did it take him till 2012 to figure it out?? He's been racing dirt bikes since he could pretty much walk and talk. No adhd when he was kicking everyone's ass? Just a thought. Either way I hope to see him on the line at A1. Love watching him ride and race.

Well, we've all had our ranting and raving, and slowly Stewart will fade into the distance, not to be seen again until next year sometime, if at all. We all know how it goes - the new year comes, racing begins, and things are forgotten Pretty sad situation.

My point of view is easy: I'm not a JS7 hater nor fan but, the series is bigger than one Motocrosser

Stadiums will be packed
Many Monster girls
6 Manufacturers
1 Champion

The series does not wait for anyone "the Show goes on"

We are all equal in the eyes of God, but real life is not allways honest "get over it"

Isn't this the same site that everyone was so happy that when it was announced their was going to be drug testing and the peds would be cleaned up ? Now that the wada is involved all you stewrat fans are all butt hurt your guy got busted . The best I remember js7 didn't miss the last 4 races of Mx because he was serving suspension he sat them out by choice - medical reasons correct ? So the only race he's missed due to suspension is the Mec ! Crush is right the wada and usada doesn't care who you are plain and simple . What about all the other times stewrat was tested in sx after the first failed test ? Or the times in Mx he was tested Did he pass them ? I remember a witch hunt bout this time last year to clean up the sport of the ramped ped usage . Even remember the leaked reports on their being some big name riders who would be busted . Sounds like it's happening exactly as said it would .
