Beyond a waste of time at this point. Let the guy ride, this is a non issue. Hate to say it but piss off the fans and your going to be up a creek without a paddle. Fans are the life of the sport, and the fans want him to race.

Everyone who is anyone in the sport, media wise...Matthes, Weege, Fro, Ping, DC, the DMX guys....have all said that they all think how this is being handled is ridiculous. It is unfair to the fans, to Feld, to Suzuki, to all the employees of Yosh, etc, to Bubba. It makes me think that SX/MX might think again when time to re-up the contract with WADA/USADA. Fact is they don't care about our sport, whatsoever. And they aren't paid to but we are too small to have this. DC said and NFL player got busted for pretty much the same thing and it was handled in a couple of months. With SX, we are 21 days from A1 and no one knows anything. Seattle was like a lifetime ago. It's BS.

Fuck WADA. Yes, James broke a rule. He should lose points or pay a fine but it shouldn't be that serious. He has already missed races (MEC). Its not like it was something hardcore and he has already got the TUE for next year thus showing he proved that he did need it in some way. They way they aren't saying anything is BS and will only hurt our sport.

Drop them, Feld/MX Sports.

You're kind of right. It's a FIM call that WADA can appeal if they don't like the ruling. If James is cleared no one can make it public without James's approval.

Do people not realize that WADA doesn't give a shit what the fans think? Why is it so hard for people to accept that the rules were made ahead of time, and everyone knew about them. Could the punishment be over the top, yes, but everyone knows what the outcome is if you don't take the proper steps ahead of time. If Stewart doesn't race it's no ones fault but his own.

Feld/ Supercross doesn't need JS7. Racing still going to be exciting to watch with Roczen, Tomac, Barcia, Canard, Reed, Dungey, Hahn, Seely, Brayton, etc. This is stupid, every rider is RESPONSIBLE to know the rules & regulations. He broke the rules, time to receive the consequences. Probably won't happen though, unfortunately.

Gotta love Vital. Where you can express your opinion and get personally put down.

So, you actually think this has been handled correctly? I'm not saying there shouldn't be a punishment but the way no one has a clue what is going on is pretty telling. But hey, that's just the opinion of a dumbass. Wink

2 years is to long in MX/SX. Careers are shorter than other sports. 1 year max, but 3 or 4 race suspension for 1st offense should be the norm. 1 yr second offense. Life suspension for 3rd offense. Now let's move on

I don't think that sounds unreasonable, buy they'll argue he's taken out of the championship, and change it to a fine I think.... Which is also bullshit, and sends the wrong message to other riders and the outside... but probably what the janky governing body will pass...

His forks look too stiff, he doesn't have his fingers on the clutch and I just farted, but I'm not 100% sure it was just a fart.

Your entire post hinges on it being wadas fault. Did you even read the first post in this thread? Or do you not understand the difference between wada and fim?

It's so that Supercross can be called a world championship. And besides this incident, what exactly has FIM done to make the sport over here any worse?
12/13/2014 10:36am
I think a big difference between SX and the NFL is that the NFL is a team sport. You lose one guy for a few games, you have another on the bench to take his place until he returns and the team doesn't really lose much in terms of championship contention. In SX and most racing, this isn't exactly possible as the championship hinges on one person, as opposed to a group effort. Therefore, I don't think penalties for team sports should be equal to penalties for sports where so much relies on one person. Apples to oranges, IMO.

Haha! I echo the comments here about the FIM. It's not clear what they have brought to the SX program. If they can't make an informed decision in a timely manner (that window has closed) they should be dropped because they are now causing harm rather than adding value.

The punishment, handed down in a resonavle amount of time. I'm not sure why this is hard to figure out

I think I made an earlier post about the dumb shit gang that gets a boner over the word WORLD in a title as though that somehow makes things better.

Having the word WORLD in its title sure hasn't made them competent in any way.

No. No it's not.
But keep telling yourself that.

What do you feel is an appropriate fine? I think time served, he must vacate all wins/points from last year and 100k.

You really don't understand legally how fines wok, and no, Suzuki, nor his sponsors will pay his fine.
I can guarantee that.

By vacating all wins and races last year, that's equal to wasting an entire year IMO.

You cant Vacate the wins. But you can take the seattle points away.

You can't take away records for a perscribed medication.

He should pay a fine, and be allowed to race. I hope we see him on the lines at A1.

In no sport do they take away your homerun count, touchdown count or anything like that, so they should not do that here either.
