I haven't seen anyone wheel tap that section. Then again maybe it's not faster than landing at the top of the table ang gasing it like most local pros do.

It was nice to watch him here and he definetly showed some inhuman little details but he is just starting I think. He wasn't much faster than Tyla an didn't look very smooth. I'm still not convinced that his "chopper" set up will work in european tracks... Bike looked WEIRD so low on the rear!
Worked pretty well at Ernee....

Saint Jean d'Angely.

RV will be fine. He'll be much better than fine, he'll be fucking amazing - just as we all know he is.

Ooops, quite right. But I coulda said washogoul, or monster cup, any Vegas or Anaheim SX race etc.

Again I'd like to point to my sig. RV will be more than fine. I just hope they both stay off the floor and battle till the end!

yep he will.. I heard Reed say somewhere that it's awkward for Americans at the Des Nations cause the Euro's have a different cornering style so none of 'their' lines develop cause there's not enough of them there, so that's one thing he'll have to deal with.. what's the bet he does deal with it and quickly? haha
I have no clue what's gonna happen next year and I won't be surprised if Villopoto wins heaps or if Cairoli does or if there'll be a few different winners... Ferris will probably dominate though haha

I'm not racing the 2015 world championship. Therefore I couldn't care less who wins.

What I do care about though is that there is a great close championship battle between these two (and hopefully a few others too).

And I hope that no single rider runs away and dominates. I hope that there are multiple winners and that everyone rises to the occasion, and nobody gets hurt.

And I hope that the tracks are built with less jumps and less artificial intervention so that the riders can build their own lines and have lots of line choice and passing opportunities so that we actually get to see racing.

And I hope that there are full start gates, and who knows, perhaps even the return of qualification so that everyone on the start line has earned their right to be there.

That's all.

Not for nothing, and clearly not bearing on anything next year, but that kid on the 125 didn't do that the same as RV did at all. Yeah he got over the top... But not the same through the rollers, not as fast, and not as flat.

I know it's not the same, the kid is on a 125... it was some kind of a joke.
I know RV is damn fast and he could even win the championship, but I don't think that short video of him would scare anybody.
It does show he's training hard and (probably) having fun and that's great.
On a side note, I'm Italian, all I hope is we'll see some of the greatest battles in MX history... with Tony coming out on top of the podium!

Simply incredible.

the only reasonable conclusion from seeing the short clips/ instagram posts we have been getting regularly from RV since his decision to go to euroland and take on the gp series, is that he seems to be having fun, enjoying travelling round and having fun on the bike again.

I think its great that he is keeping everyone up to date with his journey- going to be an epic season! Don't think he will win the championship, but i think the racing will be fantastic for the fans next year. Hopefully when he loses the championship it might tempt him to have another go at it in 2016!

That's a mixture of amazing skill on a motocross motorcycle, and a motorcycle that has been perfectly setup for the rider.

Will he win? That's a very "European" section too...and I imagine AC222 has a lot of experience going fast on that stuff too. It's gonna be epic, for sure!

RV is awesome.

For me Herlings has the most raw speed of anyone so it's a pity he isn't racing RV and AC next season. As fast as RV is I think Paulin, Herlings, Cairoli could also do that section like that.

I have no doubt RV will dominate some races (especially Qatar and Glen Helen) but I think Cairoli and Paulin will push him too. For me AC is still the guy to beat for the title and if RV does win the title (and he can) then it will be the perfect way to end his career. It might elevate him above RC imo due to the depth of competition he will have to beat and the versatility he will have to show to be World Champion.

The big question for me is will AC have to ride closer to the edge or will RV have to get smoother? It's going to be fascinating. Paulin has a big chance at the title too with HRC and Bayle behind him.

The talent next year is ridiculous, it might just be the most talented field ever:

AC
RV
Desalle
Nagl
JVH
Paulin
Bobby
Strijbos
Ferris
Searle
Simpson
Rattray
Charlier
Waters
Bengtsson
Frossard
Febvre
Coldenhoff
Nicholls
De Dycker
Guaneri
Butron
Goncalves

Just to get into the top ten will be an achievement! I believe 20 of those guys have been on the podium in GP or won races.

Roll on Qatar!
