Found that the fairest way to race a friend split screen is player one take the mod 250 and player two pick the 450 since it's going to be stock.
the naysayers are just super vocal.
hopefully they improve next time around once this proves to be a profitable project. i like it, not where i rank it in the last 3 releases though.
like i said before, i'm just glad to have a new moto game
When I finally got the factory 450 the game started to feel completely different. It for sure has is faults: poppy clutch, seat bounce a bit to high, and the riding style of Christophe Pourcel but I'll defend the game, when you do hit that line you've been trying every lap... it feels pretty good.
Does anyone else feel like they're riding a 600lb pogo stick into a 100mph headwind when they play?
once you start getting the feel of the game it's pretty good, all the people saying Alive is better must have a bad memory cause that game was horrible!
The game gets better the more you play it, it might not be perfect in some areas (pre-load, "clutch" and not being able to bring back whips) but everything else is pretty good. I think it just takes some time to get used to it. People complained about Reflex and Alive when they first came out too.
I like the game.
Hope they fix it. Id also like to have the bars in view a bit more, helps alot with knowing where the front end is when you cant feel it like when riding a real bike.
I used nothing but First person in Alive, want to do it here aswell so hope it gets better in the future
tracks are good very similar in layout to reflex just wish i had those tracks on the reflex platform (dlc for reflex maybe noridc guys?? plenty of people would buy it!!!!!)
the constant clutch preload to begin with is a pain in the ass like riding a really rich 125, bogs down the start straight even
and the contoller is taking a bit of punishment
i'm getting used to it but not sure how long i'll be interested.....
(but thanks for getting rid of some of the crap from alive, i feel for those people who had to buy another copy of that to get supercross....)
I mean riding a real track there's only so many jumps your staying into the throttle the rest you carry so much up to the face chop throttle and coast over them.. This concept is non existent in this game..
Reflex you know exactly the speed to hit a jump to Set you up for the next jump or obstacle
Pit Row
Basically, if you want anything close to a real mx experience stay away, if you don't mind terrible physics and reused upgrades then this is your game
1. You haven't played enough to upgrade the bikes far enough to start enjoying the game or getting used to the game.
2. Good luck taking a game back to gamestop with the seal broken.
1. I understand the concept of needing to upgrade your bike to make it better. But the lack of actual physics and how shitty the game play is on top of the whole clutch turbo book and pogo stick has me convinced that even with upgraded bikes it will be as good as Alive at best. Also, nothing like your "upgrades being some" JS7 Answer gear
2. I'm selling it back. Even at a loss, $10 is worth more to me than the game collecting dust on my shelf.
If you enjoy the game that's your own opinion. But if they were going to sell me an old game with some updates, I wish they would have sold something along the lines of Reflex with new tracks/bikes/gear. With Stephane Roncada being part of the team I am disappointed that they released what they did.
Just my $.02
(We're talking Unleashed, for anyone else reading this.)
The gravity does not inform my opinion of the rest of the game, though.
Neither do what little outfits are available for my little rider to wear.
'I see mx simulator get new gear and graphics all the time and those are created by users for free.'
Here, bro...I found something you might like. You can go to Abby&Emma.com to print out new outfits every week.
Best part: It's so easy to mix and match!
I said I wasn't gonna buy the game, then I did. Its okay, still getting used to it. It's weird, it felt different yesterday than the first day I played. Sometimes it feels like alive, sometimes it feels like reflex.
Best way to describe it: it's just like the game at the arcade where you sit on the bike and race your friend. You know, the one you played back in the early 2000's...
