If you're looking for some footage of someone who makes this game look good it's damn near impossible. I've poured hours into this game and I'm still wondering what they were thinking when they made it. Me and a pretty large group of friends have gotten and played the shit out of EVERY mx game ever made and this is by far the worse considering that it's 2014. I can't even play the game anymore. I get so pissed when I look back to the past three games and just think how much better they were, actually still are. Whatever you do DO NOT buy it for download. My biggest regret is that I can't return the fucker. It's sooo bad, I hated alive when it came out but I played it and got used to it and eventually got to like it but I just cant do it with this game.

I should also add that I beat every championship on all time. So I put my time in... wish I could get those 20 hours back of my life.

I mean, is it the best dirt bike game ever? Yeah, maybe. Cheerful

This one I was kinda ragged early on but smoother near the end. Fun.
Not sure why it looks so shitty. I mean yeah I recorded the tv, but I've done it before with better results.

I guess it uploaded 240 quality...by default. What the fuck, bitch? Ask me next time.
Damn, my biggest pet peeve with games that rely on gravity is when they seem to forget how gravity works on earth...i get why they make it seem like there is no gravity, for longer jumps, bigger jumps, etc..but it really makes the game seem basic and mediocre.

They should get the Reflex server up now, just for the fact they released this pile of junk to the public!!!! To me it feels like they owe me one.

Anyone tried playing 2 player? Player 2 is stuck with a stock bike, regardless off whether he/ she is signed in as a guest to the player one account, or signed in as another account who's also unlocked the bike mods... Or atleast that's the issue I am having... Anyone else know what's up with this?
Found that the fairest way to race a friend split screen is player one take the mod 250 and player two pick the 450 since it's going to be stock.

I actually like it. I guess I'm the minority.
you're not.

the naysayers are just super vocal.

hopefully they improve next time around once this proves to be a profitable project. i like it, not where i rank it in the last 3 releases though.

like i said before, i'm just glad to have a new moto game Smile

The biggest thing this game suffers from is the fact you start on the shittiest bike in the history of MX vs ATV and you're selling it to the biggest fans of MX vs ATV.

When I finally got the factory 450 the game started to feel completely different. It for sure has is faults: poppy clutch, seat bounce a bit to high, and the riding style of Christophe Pourcel but I'll defend the game, when you do hit that line you've been trying every lap... it feels pretty good.

Are they seriously putting the Reflex servers back up?

Does anyone else feel like they're riding a 600lb pogo stick into a 100mph headwind when they play?

I've found that the faster you go, the less of an effect the preload has, to the point where it almost does nothing at full speed.

Just got done playing online with a few friends..
once you start getting the feel of the game it's pretty good, all the people saying Alive is better must have a bad memory cause that game was horrible!
The game gets better the more you play it, it might not be perfect in some areas (pre-load, "clutch" and not being able to bring back whips) but everything else is pretty good. I think it just takes some time to get used to it. People complained about Reflex and Alive when they first came out too.
I like the game.

If you are like me and can't stand the goon riding style, try it in first person. Takes a little getting used to but it made the game playable for me. Now I'm really enjoying it. Scrubbing takes getting used to though. Just level up one of the Rainbow or Nordic bikes and you can customize their color instead of having to level up a ton of OEMs since you only see the front fender. I bought the OEMs but they aren't the new models (they are same as Alive) and I hate having to level up all the bikes. If it was a money system like Reflex it would be ok because you could win money on a good bike and use that to level up the other bikes.

I noticed though in first person sometimes it gets off center like someone else pointed out. Hope they fix that in an update and the fact the AI riders like to cut the track (not a big deal but makes me wonder about people doing it in MP).

The free ride feature on the tracks is cool too.
That was me mentioning it. I tried it again and its very annoying. The Helmet Cam in Alive was awesome, except how it sometimes would kind of "snap" back into center after getting locked in a position after a hard landing. Maybe they tried fixing this issue by making it a lot smoother in SX, with the end result being that it was too smooth thus giving the feeling of it floating above the bike.

Hope they fix it. Id also like to have the bars in view a bit more, helps alot with knowing where the front end is when you cant feel it like when riding a real bike.

I used nothing but First person in Alive, want to do it here aswell so hope it gets better in the future Smile

I don't understand them using 4 year old gear and bike styles. It gives the impression of a half-assed unfinished game. I see mx simulator get new gear and graphics all the time and those are created by users for free. Ive put I'm enough hours to win consistently on all-time and still can't get past the ridiculous clutch boost and super bounce. At least it's better than alive. Barely.
10/30/2014 2:01am
i agree its slightly better than alive (that's not saying much Smile whats with the recycled music from reflex and alive ?
tracks are good very similar in layout to reflex just wish i had those tracks on the reflex platform (dlc for reflex maybe noridc guys?? plenty of people would buy it!!!!!)
the constant clutch preload to begin with is a pain in the ass like riding a really rich 125, bogs down the start straight even
and the contoller is taking a bit of punishment
i'm getting used to it but not sure how long i'll be interested.....
(but thanks for getting rid of some of the crap from alive, i feel for those people who had to buy another copy of that to get supercross....)

WTF GuyB? I mean really bro. You're too good for MX vs. ATV Supercross? Not one effing banner or logo in the entire game? I haven't seen one yet.

That's Bush League right there.
AS a matter of fact I hit a VitalMx Hay bail it screwed up my momentum and I lost a spot

I remember a time when you could nail a triple and coast over a low speed double.. This game if your not wide open your gonna have a hard time clearing jumps..

I mean riding a real track there's only so many jumps your staying into the throttle the rest you carry so much up to the face chop throttle and coast over them.. This concept is non existent in this game..

Reflex you know exactly the speed to hit a jump to Set you up for the next jump or obstacle

I put three hours into the game today and it will be going back to gamestop tomorrow. Myself and another friend that motos both agreed that it was the worst MX game that has recently come out. The physics are terrible and the fact that you can just dump the clutch and pop the preload stick to clear anything or get back into a rhythm is disappointing. We ended up popping Reflex in and had a blast.

Basically, if you want anything close to a real mx experience stay away, if you don't mind terrible physics and reused upgrades then this is your game
10/30/2014 7:30am
Carrying a solid rhythm isnt actually that hard. I finally upgraded the 450 all the way last night and am getting most of the tracks down. I was about 10 seconds a lap faster than anyone online tho, but there were hardly any guys racing. The only track I really still struggle on is Toronto, that first big rhythm section still screws me up.

Two reasons you're an idiot,
1. You haven't played enough to upgrade the bikes far enough to start enjoying the game or getting used to the game.
2. Good luck taking a game back to gamestop with the seal broken.

This was my biggest gripe with Alive, and now Sx. You can't hit anything low speed you have to be pinned everywhere, even all the way around the corners. The physics are just so far off it's frustrating.

I appreciate the kind words

1. I understand the concept of needing to upgrade your bike to make it better. But the lack of actual physics and how shitty the game play is on top of the whole clutch turbo book and pogo stick has me convinced that even with upgraded bikes it will be as good as Alive at best. Also, nothing like your "upgrades being some" JS7 Answer gear

2. I'm selling it back. Even at a loss, $10 is worth more to me than the game collecting dust on my shelf.

If you enjoy the game that's your own opinion. But if they were going to sell me an old game with some updates, I wish they would have sold something along the lines of Reflex with new tracks/bikes/gear. With Stephane Roncada being part of the team I am disappointed that they released what they did.

Just my $.02

It's ridiculous how long the bike seems to float over that first big double. I think the shitty vid quality may be exacerbating it a bit.
(We're talking Unleashed, for anyone else reading this.)

The gravity does not inform my opinion of the rest of the game, though.
Neither do what little outfits are available for my little rider to wear.

'I see mx simulator get new gear and graphics all the time and those are created by users for free.'

Here, bro...I found something you might like. You can go to Abby&Emma.com to print out new outfits every week.
Best part: It's so easy to mix and match!

Fair assessment, but why does popping the clutch and preloading to get back in rhythm bug people? Do you mean after a goof? I've seen a couple of supercross races in my life and that seems somewhat true to life (obviously exaggerated, it's a video game). Hell I've seen dudes lay it down in a corner before a triple, pick it up and still huck it from a dead stop. I'd rather the ability to get going than reflex or alive where the whole section is shot if you mess up. You could do the same in MVA Unleashed.

I said I wasn't gonna buy the game, then I did. Its okay, still getting used to it. It's weird, it felt different yesterday than the first day I played. Sometimes it feels like alive, sometimes it feels like reflex.

Been putting in a good amount of time on this game.

Best way to describe it: it's just like the game at the arcade where you sit on the bike and race your friend. You know, the one you played back in the early 2000's...

I will say the actual racing is great on this game. If they tweaked the physics just a little to allow the bike and rider to really move more on the bike it would be great..Also, allow me to change my traction...i'm on ice skates out there.
