Can't decide if I like dual stick or single stick! Lotta positives tho. Lotta negatives, but it's fun for sure.

I just started getting it to work. You have to somewhat lean and then throw the weight/stick and turn at the same time in the same direction....then mid way through keep leaning and turn opposite.

You can scrub hard if you just hold both sticks in one direction off the face...most likely you won't bring it back. I think there is a happy medium to leaning slightly with a quick flick of turning off the face.

I think there is a gyro motion that you can carry the whip back around to land straight.

I'm going to hold final judgement until I have a 450 with all the goodies, because right now the stock chassis on a 250f handles like dog shit.

The tracks are pretty cool though with tons of rhythm choices.

I don't know why they start you off with a stock bike. They should at least have it where if you are your favorite rider the bike is fully upgraded and then you have to earn all the stuff if you are yourself in career mode. When was the last time a bone stock bike raced Supercross? Other than that I am going to play the game for a while till I pass judgement.

i've upgraded both the 450 and 250, and ended up going back to the stock frame on both. as someone said earlier, it's a little too twitchy for me this early into playing. i'm sure after a few more hours i'll be more comfortable to use the factory chassis.

as for the game, i have about 4 hours on it now and i'm really liking it more and more. it's such a drastically different game once you get the hang of it and get the bikes upgraded and start to learn the tracks. i spent a ton of time perfecting a couple of the easier tracks (Anaheim, Phoenix, Denver) and played on AllTime and can keep Stewart about 10 seconds in front of me. on the harder tech tracks, he laps my ass... i have a LONG way to go that's for sure, and that is a really good sign.

I asked this same question on their Facebook page, they said it was for online play.

Hopefully to help fix the lag when someone joins and exits the race.

meh, like usual i'm just happy to have a new motocross game.

still dragging my way though the early bike process but i'm getting the hang of the physics as it goes along.

it's definitely fun enough Smile

That's encouraging news. Upping the AI significantly was a major thing for me. Not sure whether to wait until Feb for the PC release or pick it up for the 360 now.

It took me all the way until winning the first East series race before I got the 125 fully updated. But that was on amateur level, maybe it takes less time on pro.

Not sure if my reply got deleted or didn't post..

I actually have tried factory chassis and stock suspension. Seemed like a good balance. Stock brakes too.

There's a few things I like, probably more I don't, but it's growing on me. I hope our support helps keep the effort alive, and the next installment is more towards the direction of what MXGP appears to be.

Target is saying folks will get it within one to five days, not disagreeing with you but I preordered it with Target because I have a card card there, just wondering if I will have to wait until December for sure? I guess I need to cancel if I have to wait until December? Thanks for putting some actual facts in this thread!

Maybe they won't have it at stores until December? Maybe since I ordered online they will ship it?

Either way, I would bet that because you put in a custom order with them you will get your copy when they say.

Hey Crash, I'm told Target will have them in stock in November and that pre-orders are on their way (or maybe already there).

I'll keep both these thoughts on chassis, suspension, etc. in mind as I level my bikes up. Thanks guys.

Bikes are so much faster with manual shifting. I think im usinh preset 5 where you shift by clicking thumbsticks

How are they faster? I only ask because there doesn't appear to be some indicator telling you what gear you're in, so it would seem like you're just guessing as far as when to shift, how many gears to go up/down, etc.

Does it let you stay in the meat of the powerband more?

Yes so just stay in 5th gear at all times. If it starts bogging just jab the clutch.

My only issues with the game are the lack of whip/scrub and the horrible multiplayer. Just like every previous MX vs ATV it is always laggy online. Not to mention half the time my gate doesn't drop till they are 15 seconds ahead. The you also have those matches that end in a minute.

I've beat everything in the single player except the 50cc championship. The 650f bike is nuts you can fully upgrade it too. Was having fun using it in the MX Open class online.

I didn't have lag or a lot of bugs in MP with the prior two versions. I played the crap out of those online without issue (until they weren't supported anymore) but I have a fast connection so maybe that's why. The game just came out too so I expect them to fix MP and the moto depot. They already released a small update for MP.

It'll get better as they tweak and update it.

Also, for the millionth time, you can whip AND scrub in this game, you just haven't figured out how to yet (YZ125H1).

I just checked the last few pages I guess there is a special technique? The 650f is fast but you cannot take big landings with the bike compared to the 250f/450. I have seen MX45 post some top leaderboard times on that 650f tho.

I think it just takes a lot practice and trial-and-error to figure out the whips. The scrubs are pretty straight forward, its just an issue of learning how to bring them back around.

Worst part of the game (and its a biggie) is the the brakes and throttle do nothing while in the air.
