Re: Dan Milner to the GNCC for 2015
Milner is way fast, but he will struggle much more in the Enduros than the GNCC. That's not to say he can't do well at them. The tighter trails of the NEPG races will be his biggest hurdle there, while his fitness is the biggest concern for GNCC races.

At Hoop's Sprint race I'll be very surprised if he doesn't get in the top e Overall, and he would be the favorite to win that event. He is faster than any of the guys in the US at the moment it a matter of whether he can transfer that speed and adapt it to the slightly different requirements for a rider to be a winner in the US.

I'm going to our secret tight trees test loop to ride with Mullins, and Strang and Milner were also coming until Milner's tooth fillings started falling out today so those two might not make it there. Either way, I just might need to take some video of the action and post it up to SpaceBook......

We'll see, I'm ok with it.
The Yanks just don't think anyone else can just turn up and beay their boys...

Milner is fuckn fast , watch this space.

Spot on there, I'd be willing to bet milner takes a few wins.

I wish Toby price would head over seas full time, equally as quick as Milner with great desert skills

So Milner on a borrowed bike in his first race in the U.S is with in one minute of two of the top three GNCC guys and he has no chance at title within 1 or 2 years.

Give him time to settle, set up his race bike and he will be challenging for race wins from the get go next year.

Super nice guy and a freak on a bike, anyone that can actually challenge and beat Price more than 50% of the time has to be super fast Smile

King kaliub all day!!!! ISDE means nothing when comparing gncc.
Russel will get the worst stars like he always does, wipe his go pro lense 2 or 3 times so all of you can clearly see him work his way to the front and check out. He's a beast!!!

None of those test are 3hrs long. It's a much different format.

No doubt he'll do well in the National Enduros right away though.

Very true - it even took Shane Watts a season or two to get the hang of GNCC
He won a bunch of races his first year there in 99, then had a knee reco, then won it in 2000... so. yeah.

These last 2 rounds are going to be awesome. Russell on the 150cc 2stroke, Mullins is coming back Sunday, Milner starting Sunday, and Grant Baylor moving up to XC1 for the last round. The field is going to be Super stacked! I hope Russell can get a win on the Smoker!

Russell ended up finishing 2nd right behind Strang. they were battling and russell bent his rear brake pedal. Still pretty darn impressive for having a 300cc disadvantage! Who says a small bore 2stroke cant hang?!! Milner did good for his first race. Cant wait for the final round and see how Grant Baylor does in XC1

Stoked for Strang!! Finally got a win. I became a fan back in his Suzuki days. The road back has been tough, but I think he'll be back for battling for the championship next season.

Well he's gonna need to find 6 minutes... Because he started straight up with strang after strang got held for his penalty first lap.

I don't think Kailub had to worry much about milner..

Actually Russell got the holeshot on that 150cc smoker..that was comical. I watched him do it from the 2nd to last line at the start. Most of the riders were shocked he did that. Russell doesn't normally start well.

Whibs got the official holeshot before kailub took it away in the second turn. He ashburn
Mullins and Baylor swapped around the lead first lap an a half with Mullins leading when they came through the first time.

It's because he had a kickstart not a button.. It's not his reaction time or something being so bad that he gets bad starts normally he's just being held back by the button.

3 races in and Milner sits 13th in points. His first 3 outings have him finishing 16, 13 and 7. First two races he had some issues, but even with his last race, he's still nearly 6 minutes behind KR. I do think he'll get better, but Crush as well as few others were a little overzealous thinking Milner was going to come in and put it the top riders in GNCC. Not gonna happen.

What happened the first 2 rounds? I'm not trying to be a dick, genuinely curious and I haven't seen it anywhere else.

Your right crush. Those quick fill tanks are nut busters.

Kailub is the real deal, and if he stays healthy...

I have been a little surprised with Milners results so far, though I have little info on any of the issues he has had so far.

I still him running up the pointy end soon enough, but maybe the Kailub Russell guy is even better than I gave him credit for and I knew he was a dam fine rider and seem to be getting better and better! Pretty scary stuff for the rest of the field.

Yeah, it's going to take something special to take Russel out of that top spot this year at any round. Dudes on fire and doesn't seem to have many challengers atm...

We went to the Steele Creek race this weekend and while all those guys are extremely fast Russel is on a whole different planet! After the start he came by in 4th but by the second lap he was in front with a 25 second lead.
