I am baffled by his move to Europe. I just don't get it. I hope he offers an explanation. It's just unheard of isn't it for a top rider go go over there? I would love to hear the reason behind it. Maybe he's tired of us fucks here in the US. haha

Just a few thoughts from a simpleton, but a very competitive one. Why not go to Europe? What does he really have to lose? His place as one of the best to race MX/SX is locked in.... BUT there lies the problem!!!! "one of the best" he will never catch up in SX and dethrone the king of supercross.... He will never catch the goat and be the best in motocross. He can stay around here and wear himself out with the yearly grind and make a killing and be "one of the best ever" OR he can head across the pond and do something NO ONE has ever done! He goes over and kills it and beats an icon like AC on his home soil...... Then where does that leave his legacy years down the road? Does doing something no one else has done move him from "one of the best" to possibly the best??? And what happens of he goes over and doesn't crush it? He tried to go to a new environment, new travel, new Customs, new food, new training schedule, new tracks.... Something no one else has tried, with a hundred reasons/excuses why he didn't win. .... AND he still comes home to his current legacy of "one of the best" ever. If you look at it that way, really has nothing to lose.......
Do you realize that villopoto does not give .0002 fucks about things like legacy, record books, and such?
Either that or he's just really good at playing it off like he doesn't

He will only have to race half of the races he does in the US also.

Not true, if he races SX and wins this year he is every chance of securing a record that will never be beaten.

5 Straight!

Taking one of the King's records away is a big big deal and a good reason to stay in the U.S.

Though winning a MXGP title to go along with his AMA SX and Outdoor titles and equal 4 straight SX titles would be hard to ever top for anyone.

If Lungo would just drop the under 23 Rule for MX2, Maybe Villopoto could go for the Full House in 2016!

Think that is on the cards in 2026, the year before his Tour De France win..

2015 MXGP Title
2016 MX2 Title
2017 Moto3 World Title
2018 Moto2 World Title
2019 MotoGp World Title
2020 Australian MX1 and MX2 championships in the same year as he spends the year touring Aus
2021 Camping truck Championship
2022 Nation Cup Championship
2023 Sprint Cup Championship
2024 Indycar Champion
2025 Formula one World Champion
2026 Australian V8 Champion
2027 Wins Tour De France

I thought is future path was pretty obvious. some people obviously don't pay enough attention

I think it's cool as shit he is going over there-I just hope he tells us why. It's a big decision for him and his wife. I wonder if he just wants to challenge himself and in the meantime travel Europe. Kind of like a vacation before he settles down and has kids.

Bro, my bad!

I must have spilled my beer on the flux capacitor of my hot tub time machine, for a minute I thought this was September 2025.

Riders put out press releases saying they ARE racing? Since when? If that's the case, I haven't seen a single PR confirming anyone will be at A1. Racers race, so it's understood that they're racing unless there's a press release saying they're NOT.

On another note, I got RV for 2015 World Champ. I think he and AC will have some great battles, but I'm betting AC folds under the pressure. RV's relentless.

Spilling Beer on a Flux Capacitor can have devastating affects!

Another true Fact that Villopoto will want to consider before his tour of Australia in 2020 is that it is Illegal to spill Beer in Australia.

It is considered a crime against the nation and is punishable by law. Min 20 years jail with no parole!

Though if you can Skull 20 schooners directly after the spill you have redeemed yourself and will be good to carry on.

Ryan's swan song, won't finish the season. Will be sad to see someone who was once a exceptional rider be demoted to top 10 finishes but at least he has the manhood to step up and leave the comfort zone of groomed tracks and easy schedules and simple racing he's been use to in the USA. Hopefully he goes out in style, good luck.

Dude's just trolling in for this weekend bro.

If Villipoto continues to ride and does go to the GPs I say he wins first time round then hangs up his boots and dissapears from the scene. I also think some of his wins will be by huge margins.
I have been wrong in the past though.......once!
I think your underestimating some of those top GP guys

He wont win by "Huge margins" but he will win some, and he will lose some. Cairoli is fast as hell and they will have epic battles.

Might aswell just give cairoli the sand rounds and the rest are wide open!

I got hooked on this sport watching Brad Lackey race the World Motocross Gran Prix's. The Carlsbad GP was the only race on TV (once a year). I hope RV turns the tide back to 1 World Championship. Imagine if Formula 1 had country specific titles instead of worldwide?

Nobody said he would announce today, It's tomorrow. I think I get it now, tomorrow may never come. LOL I hope I'm wrong. Go RV!!!!

AC will not fold.

He'll battle like the champion that he is. He may win. He may lose.

I don't know which, but Cairoli will not lose because he "folds".
