The Baggett-got-lapped thing is really unfortunate and unfair. That was a short track, he started in the second row, and he was getting murdered against bigger bikes on that 250 F. He's just not a sand rider, but he was still second in his class. Bring any of those guys to Anaheim (with the exception of Roczen) and see how they do against Baggett...

And Jamma, what does Racer X have to do why Team USA would get booed?

Jeremy kills it this weekend. He will be a top guy for the next 10 years. He has just started to scratch the surface of his ability.

I think he will beat everyone in MX2 except Cairoli. But I really hope he surprises us and wipes the floor with Cairoli in a straight up race.

I meant the comment section specifically.

Social media plays a much larger part in creating this underlying sense of animosity than people seem to realise.

Jamma, scratch my question, I agree with you 100% in that regard!

And stillweilding, I know they don't ride motocross at Anaheim, but when you race in America, half your year is spent in those stadiums. When you live in Belgium or the Netherlands, half your year is spent in sand. There's not a lot of sand in Grand Terrace, California, as you know.

it is a great event and lets hope we see great racing this weekend!!

Beatin that dead horse huh bud? Listen man, how many GP champions say it's their goal and dream to race in America and come over here to race with the best? Quite a few, right? How many American moto Champions say it's their dream to race the GPs or actually go over there? Crickets............

I said Martin will have a bad moto and he will get beat for the overall effectively...
But even with 2 good motos, I still think Gajser will be close

I just dont think the nationals this season were as good as they have been until last year. But we will see, thats the thing I look forward to the most, seeing how the 250 class and MX2 compares

Ofc he could go out and win a moto I wouldnt be really surprised. I wouldnt be surprised either if he finished 5th in MX2 getting beat by Guillod and Ferrandis as well. We will see tomorrow Wink

Gajser and Guillod are riding 450/350 and now Tonkov is riding a 350 as well, so of the top 10 MX2 riders in the standings, only Ferrandis and Seewer will be on a 250 in Latvia

You're sick. The 250 nationals this year were BETTER, by a long shot than they have been in years. No fewer than 6 different moto winners, awesome battles, Webb's cable stretching victory at his home track Muddy Creek......races this year were super entertaining, actually saw some personality on the podium from a few guys. What are you talking about?

Just pulling your leg a little on that one, but someone is always using the "Supercross" card (which is what I'm feeling when someone uses the "Bring those guys to Anaheim" retort). American motocross and Supercross have developed into their own discipline, as you know. I'm not arguing with you (don't have time to, right now). To me , the GP series and US motocross series are just not the same motocross racing anymore. Just because you can win at Bristol, doesn't make you the equivalent of the Formula One champion. And I think it's smart for the European's to make a track that favors them.
When I worked for Al Baker, and the US was having their first Six Days Trial in the Berkshires, Al thought that that we should have had the US Six Days in Las Vegas, around the area where the Mint 400 was run (where the American team could be all Baja and District 37 experts and blow the Euros minds). Instead the Berkshires gave them something like they regularly rode in and we had no advantage.

If I say "good" I mean the riders ofcourse, compared to the MX2 riders. Or do you think the level was higher than the last 2-3 seasons?
Racing was awesome I agree but that doesnt matter in this context other than the fact that Martin had some fights and pressure and he handled it well

Good stuff, stillwielding, and I agree. But I feel bad for Blake -- he got second in his class, did his best to help Team USA, but because he gets lapped by the leaders on 450s and 350s, from a second row start, he's "the American champion who got lapped" and that's really a shame. But then again, we get second and it's an ass-whipping. That's what you get after winning streaks of 13 and 7 years. Belgium got it like that back in 1981...

I think they got boo'ed because Western European GP fans who were present at that race are classless shitheads.

Now, I am very open to a more LOGICAL explanation, if you are able to provide one.

It has to suck living in a country with only one public motocross track.

How can you rate a class of riders speed by watching on TV? Correct me if Im wrong, but I do believe 2 former MX2 world champs rode the AMA 250 series this year and got beat on a regular basis.

Just saying.

Your guys are fast no doubt and JH is probably the fastest out there period, but the AMA 250 class guys were moving along quite well this year.

I didnt rate anything...
And you take World champs for a measure that have been away from racing for a year or coming back from an injury. Wilson also got beat on a regular basis (well every race) and hes a national champ but I guess you'd agree that its not the best Dean Wilson we've seen this year.

My feeling is Martin will not be a level above the MX2 guys like Tomac and Roczen were last year.
Like I said I dont know, it wouldnt surprise me if he goes out and wins a moto

Right? What a dipshit thing to say. Oh you guys suck but the only racing series I watch is yours. Obviously the euro riders are slower, otherwise you would watch them race.

Back in the day when the euros were better and then we won it was more important to me. But,we won for years and proved we were the dominant riders. Then the pendulum swung back and now the globe is littered with good riders and the race just isnt important to me for a win but the comradery of the sport and the display of flags and the spectacle of the best riders rounding the 1st turn and going fast on a dirtbike.

Jmart is a happy go lucky, hard working, good kid that wants to win..
That's a pretty good equation for success.

Hey, don't get me wrong. Baggett is a brilliant rider and would definitely be top 3 in the MX2 GP class. But I expected much more of him during the MXdN. Not only in Lommel but in France he wasn't brilliant as well. He won the qualification but there are no points to be won then.

KlootZak, he did choke up once the moto started in France and he got stuck under that fence, no doubt about that. It's happened to a lot of guys first time, including Jeremy McGrath ('93), Damon Bradshaw ('90), Travis Pastrana ('00) and both James Stewart and even RV (at least in the second moto) in 2006. That's a LOT of pressure, no matter what country you are from, and that's what makes it great for fans...

I'm just tired of our USA riders getting branded , losers, quitters or bad riders after getting the results we do.

when some other Country has more wins then lets talk shit.

America and Motocross we are number 1 , and then there's everyone else.

Martin has the speed to holeshot, run and hide, and never look back. I expect a two top 10's out of him, but not sure if he'll be top 5. There's still some stacked talent on the 450 machines in both motos.

My point was to Crusty who wanted to compare gajser and guillod to Martin. .. but they will be on different bikes. And so will Wilson.

Just a shame that so many guys in the 250 class won't be there riding 250, from tixier to herlings to musquin to schiffer. Even butron is on a 350 for Spain. Plus tonus on a 450 for Swiss.

Still be interesting though and I'm pumped to be here for my 10th mxon in a row!
