Been thinking the same thing. Hope he's back soon, he was really showing signs of speed before he got hurt.

If Geico loses Tomac maybe they will keep Hahn. He seemed to be on the upswing before his injury.

That 450 program was built for Tomac, without him I see them folding up shop on that second rig and just working the 250 program.

The 450 program was kept running for Tomac, but it was built for K-Dub.

i can see Will Hahn turning into a Windham type figure and rider at gieco, just hope they keep him onboard

I saw on FB Wil was helping out with the FCA summer camp in TN a while back, which is cool of him. Given that status, I'd suspect he's out until SX. No idea on the rest.

I'd think he'd be a smarter choice than JW turned out to be as rider #2.

Interesting if true.

That leaves the 2nd RCH seat (if there is one) and maybe Suzuki (if they need one) and:
Tickle, Pourcel, Weimer, Hill, Georke, Metty, Mookie, maybe Baggett. Did I miss someone? That's a lot of guys without seats. Maybe a few other rides will show up from the new teams.

I believe we'll be seeing Matt Goerke go the Arenacross/Canadian Nationals route. I wouldn't be surprised to see Weimer doing some sort of small program or joining up with something existing (like Nick Wey's effort), as it sounds like Kawasaki will still support Jake is some shape or form.

I "thought" Goerke was somewhat tied to the vacant Babbitt's spot left by Bowers (going to PC) but now with Chris Blose supposedly filling that spot.......you still see Goerke going this route?

I don't know why. Weimer clearly had more potential coming off 250s in my opinion. Less injuries too if I remember correctly. Never know what can happen in moto.

Metty doesn't want to race Supercross, so he kind of screwed himself.

As GuyB mentioned in a thread yesterday "Last time I talked to him he wasn't against the idea. "

So no.

As stated before, if the pay is right, he will race sx.

The amount I heard he wanted tells me he really doesn't want to race Supercross, but maybe I'm wrong.

Not when you overvalue yourself. Then $$ walks.
Where are all the people saying he should show up in a pickup if he wants to race so bad like they did James and Chad?

Looking back, Jake's lackluster results during his tenure on the factory team wasn't entirely his fault. I mean, it was mostly injuries, not his lack of work ethic or that he simply didn't give it all he had. He did, but he was riding through pain a lot of the time more than likely. I hope you're right, that Kawasaki acknowledges his effort and will be willing to help.

Who injured him? I don't want to be mean, but he had his chances and didn't get the results a factory rider should. Will on the other hand I feel deserves one last shot, but we will see what the industry feels soon enough.
9/2/2014 9:11am
Yeah, well, I think we all probably like Jake but even when uninjured, he hasn't set the world on fire. Glimmers of hope but long periods of drought. I could see the Mafia Moto route with backdoor help from Kawasaki. I'd love to see him build his brand back that way.

I can see Metty going to Canada (maybe GPs?). $$ or not, there is a perception that he can't excel in SX and that's where the money is.

Goerke goes to Arenacross or Canada.

So if all true, that would thin the crowd for the remaining seats. The music has almost stopped.

When did reed or stewart finish a series 4th or better and not have a ride the following year? Metty has 1 year left in canada still. , so he s good either way, but usa series is more exposure and better talent imo.

A big birdy told me Babbitt's will have Blose, Ames and a guy that beat Bowers a few times straight up last year. As far as Will, I thought he was factory Kawi?

Reed and Stewart are in a different park than Weimer. Both of those guys have a rather large fan base whether or not they're winning and they both have more 450 titles. I'm a Weimer supporter. I'd love to see him find a way to build his own gig. He definitely had a few good rides here and there but he's definitely been plagued by injury.

I don't know about all the other injuries but the first one that comes to mind is Tomac cross jumping at A1. Not much Weimer could have done about that except get a different start.
