Met Weston at a dealership signing autographs. I asked where he may end up and he said not sure I said he was doing great on the zook.
He said he wished he could stay where he was really likes the bike and team . Class act
Rickey should know the guy is loyal and rode real hard in some crazy conditions Saturday.
I really like him as a rider now.

He isnt Roczen caliber but not far behind.

To me, they seem a bit different although I agree that they "both ride their butts off". Ricky was The Guy coming up and everyone knew it when he was on 80s. He was born into a factory ride. Weston fought his way up without being the heir apparent. I just hope Weston lands on good equipment, gets to fly to the races and can start growing his bank account. He deserves it.
EDIT: He did like the last Gen Yami and IMO he could run up front on the JGR.

I personally think that Yamaha is a better brand and the JGR guys have a better thing going than the RCH guys in terms of bike stuff. I think WP is happy with RCH's team chemistry and he IS doing well on yellow. But I've heard good things about the JGR crew also so I don't think switching is going to hurt his results. I just think JGR might have a little more flexibility in what they can do on the bikes. This is all from the outside looking in so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
He keeps improving a little bit each and every year. Not top 5 worthy? Not sure what races you've been watching.
