Defend JS in any way shape or form and get labeled a "fan boy, nut hugger etc" by many of the clowns here that are truly enjoying this..
Vital's been hijacked and you can see it in the lack of quality of posts..
Surely one of Vitals finest will chime in and prove me right.
Yep, they can't fathom that people just stick up for people, It is a complete foreign concept. I have come to embrace the label and laugh every time I see it. I have said it before I would do it for any rider or person that gets the same amount of stupidity thrown at them, providing they are a decent person and not on here to defend themselves.
By failing to get a TUE where he could have, James likely put Yosh out of business for next years SX season. That is serious. If anyone screws up that bad 'on the job'...they get fired, no matter how stellar their performance in other areas is. With this latest mishap in essentially informally divulging that James is using an IV between motos, it just adds to the PR mess that Yosh has. I would not be surprised if Yosh and Suzuki pulled the plug on James. I would not be surprised if they stayed the course. Who knows...
So back to your question....no...I have never messed up on the job to the degree James has, professionally speaking. He is a professional athlete. Hundreds of thousands of dollars in salaries...millions of dollars in investments and millions of dollars in promotional expenditures are dependent on him, and he blew it to the point that all that is endangered.
What do you not get about the lack of professionalism in how he has handled his career recently? I and just calling it like it is. Sorry if you are butt hurt. He has screwed up royally...
He is also my favorite rider. I am a huge fan...but I will still call it like it is.
I'll gladly answer your question so as to shed a plausible reason why James would have his own nurse there to administer an iv. It's because she does much more than simply administering an iv. She is probably there for all of his health care needs during the weekend. James has always been private, he's always had his own crew of trusted people, and this is no different. Why would James want to go the Asterisk Medical unit when he has his own private assistance? You've assumed that her only role is to provide James with an iv in between motos.
The same line of reasoning could be leveled against RV and doping accusations; "we can't prove he was cheating, but all signs point towards it."
Until you provide some hard evidence, your hand-waving of "we know he did it' is empty and baseless.
I could understand the occasional, super hot, epic battle causing severe dehydration, but every week? Hmm...
what a joke...
don't mention RV or you will get clipped dude...he is sacred...but you can say what you want about what you-think-you-may-have-possibly-positively-heard-and-know about 7...we don't even have the facts from Story A...yet we want to assume we know something about Story B...come on...

Keep trying to tear down a champ that has accomplished more than you ever will, and thinking that is normal. Or better yet find another way to happiness. Good luck to you.
The rules part is very objective and non-negotiable - if I break one there will be some sort of repercussions, up to and including losing my job if it's serious enough.
The performance part is subjective, and might range from an informal performance discussion with my boss, to affecting my bonus or salary increase, all the way up to being fired if my performance is consistently below par for an extended period.
For a professional motorcycle racer it's no different. Performance issues might be not winning enough races, or placing well consistently, or maybe some behavioural issues that affect their image and therefore team/sponsors.
The rules they have to follow are all in the rule book.
And as in my job, the racer is accountable for all those people that work for them and/or help them with their performance and adherence to the rules.
