I can get the SG10s for cheap.
Never even tried a set on.
Will i be dissapointed?

SG10s are comfy and provide great support. They also hold up well. You shouldn't be disappointed.

I just bought my second pair, it's the first boot i have made a repeat purchase on, hope that says it all. And plus 2 on what the guy said above, most comfortable boot there is (at least out of all the ones i have owned)

I would ride with no other boot, they are more comfortable than my regular shoes.

My SG10s are awesome, I don't mind leaving them on all day at the races. I have heard Tech 10s are like putting on a pair of slippers though, ridiculously comfy. But I'm not sure if they hold up as well as the SG10. Also they cost a hell of a lot more. Basically, the SG10 is all function and no flash, everything you need it to be and nothing you don't.

I quit Tech8s for SG10s years ago and am planning to finally replace them over the winter. Great boot and hold up much better than Tech8s under frequent racing.

But the SG10 even if they're $50 more than the Tech 10. You won't regret it. I've got a set with three years racing every weekend on them and they're stil in great shape.

I agree with everyone else. They are by far the best boots i have ever owned. I have had 2 pairs now and will probably be getting some new ones. They hold up great and like it was said above, they are very comfy.

the sidi crossfire's are bad ass and well built but none of the sidi boots fit the shape of my foot for some reason. i have had sg10s for the last two years and they are still holding up awsome and are plenty supportive and comfy. best boots i have ever had and the only ones i will buy again, if i ever need too that is....

i don't know about the tech10 but i used to be a tech8 guy and they were awsome but they would only last me one season. i went through 4 pairs before i switched to the sg10.

Gotcha on the fit ! Everyones feet are different - I had a friend give me a pair of Fly Talons for free, brand new, but I simply could not deal with how they fit.

No doubt that SG10 is a premo boot and one of the best made.

Funny you bring this up I'm having the same dilemma at the moment, but after trying them both on I'm going SG10 I thing I like the way they mould around your feet

$500 price tag is what is keeping me from them. I kill a pair of boots in a year or so. If you can get them for cheap I hear very good things about them.

Good boots, they feel wide at the ankle pivot area. I could not get used to it. Have not tried the Tech10s. I switched to Oxtars. They were made in Italy also, don't know about now though.
If you can get them cheap do it.

If you think the SG10's are wide in the ankle wait till you try the tech10's... its like wearing an ankle weight. The Tech 10 boots are great except for that. Sidi's are freaking awesome except for the clip that holds the ankle hinge together. Buy them by the six pack because they fall off with disappointing regularity.

My feet don't fit in the tech 10s. They are very wide. For some reason they fit in the tech 8' though. Sidi's also don't fit because of my 4E right foot. What is weird is I put a footbed from superfeet in the Oxtars and the width was fine. They are the best fitting I have found for MY feet, they have held up well also. I used the SG-10's for about a year and a half and gave them to m son. He is still using them about another year later. He is Ok with the ankles. I just get the boots that fit and go from there. I will look at the new SG-12's next pair. It looks like the ankle pivot is designed differently.

I can't make a pair of Tech 8s or Tech 10's last more than a season. I am now on my SECOND season w/ the same pair of SG10's and there still in great shape. I don't have to replace them yet but I prolly will get an additional set over the winter for next year anyways.

That is what I was thinking. If you figure it over a few seasons then it is more palatable. If they last as long as the SG-10s then it could be 3 seasons depending on how you are on equipment.

Best boot out there. except for the sg12.

Around the track, i prefer wearing my boots instead of changing into shoes.

I have been wearing tech 10's since they came out, but tried a pair of sg10's for the first time today.Goodbye tech 10's, the sg10's felt like slippers.

Thanks for all the advice. Ive had 4 pairs of
Tech 8's and 3 sets of Tech 10's. When they
updated the Tech 8s like 2 years ago or w.e.
I bought a set and wore em less than 10 times.
Gave em to my brother earlier this week haha.
HATED them. Ive worn Tech 10s over the summer
tho and Ive only ridden prolly 12-15 times due to
work etc. and theyre already screwed up on the inside
where the boot meets the frame. I donno. I think im
goin with the SG 10's. Now I just have to decide on
color lol. Thanks for the help guys.
