God already did all the work Lenny.
There is one more thing that just does not make any sense. Timing! Guy noted that MX Sports had a meeting before Glen Helen. I know the current issue is FELD and the WADA SX test...but has anyone even thought about the timing of MX Sports USADA drug program announcement? When was the press release put out? May 2. When was Glen Helen? May 24. The event was 22 days later. When was the 'meeting' Guy mentioned? Logically...it was somewhere in between.
How on earth is any rider expected to get a TUE for the opening 2014 National? It is actually IMPOSSIBLE.
USADA states that decisions by the TUE review board are 'normally' (but not guaranteed) made within 21 days of receipt. So, from the day MX Sports announced the testing program in 2014...till the first event was 22 days. Someone explain how this is supposed to work if an athlete finds out May 2 that he needs to go through this whole process in 22 days.
Go look at the USADA form under the documentation requirements. Do you think some MX rider is going to be able to pull that out of his ass on a moments notice and mail it to Colorado Springs? It could take WEEKS to get that data together.
Did MX Sports really believe that in a field of 80 riders...not a single one might have this issue? No. They probably did not even have a clue about this potential. I am going to find it comical of other riders get popped at Lakewood for meds that could have been OK'd. Odd are it won't happen...but it would be comical if it did.
Again...this is not about Stew. I believe frankly, that FELD and MX Sports probably did not even know what a TUE was till a week ago. The current issue is the SX / FELD /WADA test, but it seems to me there are some serious issues about the mechanics of putting a program in place that MX Sports did not even think about.

Why wouldn't they have known about it, at the latest, when USADA put out their P.R. two months ago?
And is the TUE a new thing only implemented this year? Is that covered in the P.R.? I guess that's the conclusion to draw if you frankly believe Feld's never heard of it until recently (which in any case sounds like a ridiculous prospect).
And, even if it is impossible to get a TUE filled and filed in 22 days, it wouldn't matter because they didn't test until round 3, right? Or is your point that the test might've been at round 1, and then riders would be screwed?
Then again....other sports that are promoter oriented, like boxing, have just a big a mess....even bigger perhaps. Check out this saga...

SX and MX do not have that sort structure. They have separate promoters and sanctioning bodies. It just does not work that way, and is a different situation.
Also, AJ took Adderall recreationally when one of his bros gave it to him to stay up while they were out on the town in Kentucky.
these guys know they are going to be tested....so not sure why any of them would TRY and pull a fast one......being prescribed a medication mid season while taking care of all the normal day to day race business - I can see why things may have been skipped or forgotten - not an excuse - but I know I have forgot to pay a bill or submit paperwork for something before knowing I have too......

It was a different kind of crying.
Nor do I understand the angst over getting a TUE for the outdoors before the races started. It certainly was no secret that drug testing was coming to the outdoors and it was already in place the entire SX season. This was no last minute surprise, nor a new issue for any rider that entered any SX event. If a TUE was needed for a med, a rider should have already had it for the SX events.
Most of the riders are heavy in to cycling and the notion of testing and TUEs is common knowledge in that sport.
The bottom line is that there is no excuse for JS's camp not getting this easily handled if it was a long-standing issue for him.
If a rider, as in claimed in the case of JS, had this condition for a long time, and was presumably dealing with it by this medication, the records would already be in existence, the doctors would have been prescribing for quite a while, and there would have been Rx records showing he had been taking it. A TUE would have been no big deal and certainly not a time consuming exercise.
Things will get very interesting when the Lakewood results come out. If the test is negative, it may suggest that this was not a long standing medical condition that had been treated with this medication for a long while. If it is a positive, MX Sports and USADA will act quickly.
