But the fact that he doesn't do that...constantly pushes himself with one of the toughest trainers in the business...to me, at least, proves he is a driven individual that likes to win more than he likes to take it easy and enjoy his time off.
Is he having fun? I don't know...but he must like winning more than he hates the grind of racing.
I love me some McGrath, but let him run Aldon's program for a couple years and see how that goes... Didn't he have an issue with a team over riding Jet Ski's... Poor bastard!
Never thought the king would become another Vitard!
I hate that fake smile, here's my monster energy can, ginger!
RV might love riding.... maybe loves racing..... might not love the business of Supercross. Life is to short.... and ONLY RV knows the truth.
Vitalmx to the true FMOTP... "Stop racing, you don't smile enough for us"
This place never fails to hit new milestones in stupidity. It really is amazing!
2 - I have not seen anything from Kenny in the last couple of months that would suggest he is enjoying himself either. Maybe the routine of a pro motocross rider is a little tougher than being an internet critic.
That was the most balls out interview i've seen Jeremy give. Ever.
Wilson is a mental case. Dungey doesn't have it. etc etc. Not that I disagree on a lot of his points, but Jeremy has almost always just been the guy who talks only about the positive or fairly blase comments that won't put anyone out.
He straight rolled some people under the bus there.
I do agree with people's comments above too about it not being fun. I bet Jeremy had fun. He was winning by so much and doing it without killing themselves like they do now. I'm not surprised in the least RV or anyone else isn't having fun. It's gotta be a really hard 24hr, 365 day job with a lot of risk.
Ezra had more speed than people remember.
Seems to me RV is just cool, just a man that kicks ass. not a showtime, look at me guy.
Variety is the spice of life. Jeremy was fantastic, no footers, nac nac's.
RV carving thru a bowl turn is pretty f'ing fun to watch too.
I'm sure he's just as happy as MC ever was, just a different character.
Pit Row
Also ask Ezra Lusk how he felt about MC? They also had a heated rivalry. Imo Ezra was a fierce competitor, and one of the few to race MC hard, until injuries really took a toll on Ezra.
Edit
Any of you guys that may of skipped past this post....read it!
I too love riding my bike......but if I " Had to " ride it , forced to ride it , and everything else that comes along with it.....the fun goes away real quick i would think.
Regis hit on a really good point to. MC loved it a lot until he had to pick up the pace with his training and so forth because RC was moving up. Once that happened.....he got burned out real quick.....and i don't blame him. I can completely understand why RV wants to get out of the sport. Even if you keep winning......when is enough.....enough? Every person sets his own limits.
That's not what the guys are doing now...
I may not be a huge fan of RV, but I can damn sure be a fan of his determination and work ethic. He sure doesn't cut any corners.
COULD it be Aldon Baker? It seems after a rider has been with him a while, they lose their desire. Happened to RC after he got with Aldon, you could clearly see Stewart got burnt out after being with Aldon, and now RV. Roczen is NEW to the Aldon Camp, so I can see where he hasn't had time to get burnt from how strict Aldon is with his training.
I am not in any way suggesting Aldon is a bad guy, but MAYBE he is a little tooooo hard. I just find it ironic that after 3 of the best riders in this sport have spent 2 years or more with him as their trainer, they are roasted and ready to move on.
I love it.
Its harder to win 7 than it is to win 4. I think MC can speak on the topic and understand it just fine.
RC went through the same program and he was fine in interviews and seemed to enjoy it more than RV. Roczen has fun and I dont see him changing or Adam changing in 5 years. They just love to ride their dirtbikes.
RV is over it. That's life man.
"...the whole show..." ???
Does he mean the grooming Adam went through from mini bikes to pro? If thats what hes getting at, gosh Jeremy,we all cant have the talent to hop off a bmx bike and straight to the pros in 2 years.
