No racer past or present would've beat James last week in Toronto period! Then he went on to say "I'm sure there will be some yahoo out there that would want to debate me on that"Woohoo

It was interesting to hear DeCoster's credit the ride as well on Matthes post race interviews last week.

I thought that was very out of the ordinary for Roger D to say something good about James.

But I guess he had a first hand view of James blowing past both of his riders.

We didn't need King Kdub to state the obvious in order the believe the truth, at least I didn't

Nice for James to receive a compliment like that from a fellow bad ass though.

In their prime any of the following could have beaten him. McGrath, Johnson, Ward, Bailey, and Hannah. Like Windham's comment, its just an opinion with no way to test it.

Don't ever underestimate the drive and desire of any of the above when the chips were down, especially Rick Johnson.

The same could be said about multiple riders on certain days throughout moto history. When the great ones are on they are really, really on.

He just should've gone ahead and said 'Vitard'.

I've raced against most of those guys you mentioned (and they were/are true badasses) BUT, ever since Bubba turned pro, he has made each and every one if them drop their jaw in utter amazement.

So far, he really is the most talented this sport has ever seen.

That's right, Windham is an idiot. He has no idea at all what he's talking about, his opinion doesn't hold water. But...yours does, right?

Well there you have it! RJ just said...

When Danny Storbeck landed on his wrist he(RJ) SCRUBBED a jump! So I guess that proves the Bub's didn't invent the scrub Laughing

Ya' know, since the original Bad Boy said it, it has to be absolutely and positively TRUE!

Just like Magoo at the MX/Trophy Des Nations, RV at MXDN, Bradshaw at 89 Tampa SX and so on and so on. Riders have their "days" where no one could touch them. Hell Ronnie had them after partying all night lol

So what. There were many races during the rc era that you could say the same thing. Several of them were against js7 straight up

I've heard Windham make a few statements that I strongly disagree with. Just because he's a pro rider doesn't mean everything he says is gospel.

He didn't say anything about riders from the future, so there. I don't believe anyone racing this year at the top of their game would have beat him with equally good starts. But I'm not sure he would have caught and passed an on it RV2, CR22, or KR94 much less all 3 from where he started. Just my opinion, I bet you'd get a different answer than KDubs if you asked RC and CR.

I was at Gatorback that day and watched that crash happen. It was early in the morning, I think it was the first practice and it looked to me like RJ rolled an uphill double and Danny didn't, and Danny came down right on his arm. I may have the exact details a bit fuzzy though, it was the late 1980's lol. It was such a bummer cause I was a HUGE RJ fan and his career was never the same. Still stings a little Dizzy

I don't think that's something we can measure is it?

However, KW has raced all these guys including RC so you would think he wouldn't say that unless it was true.
