Thanks for the news.

Not sure how you'd make that assumption, but okay...

Yeah I wouldn't think Weston would step off his bike for one race on a Honda with no seat time and expect a better result.. And why wouldn't Barcia be racing when in the link it says: cole-seely-race-trey-canards-team-honda-muscle-milk-crf450r-indy/

I think I read somewhere non forum that Peick has received offers from teams already but they want to stay loyal to the sponsors that were willing to support them at the beginning of the season.
Sounds more like a full in for Canard with a guy that has already been on a Honda and worked at least somewhat with members of the team.

Weston has said in every interview he would not move away from the program he has built for the season, and I would not blam him either.

On another note I hope Cole can do well with the chance once again at the factory 450, he has shown promise in the past.

I can see how that could be a valid question. Trey has been out all year with no fill-in rider on his bike and now the week after Barcia sits out the night show they bring in another rider. I wouldn't say it means Barcia isn't racing though. It does make it look like he's probably a race day decision and they want to have another guy on a bike so they've got at least one rider in the night show if Barcia can't go

Weston has factory Suzuki suspension help and Yoshi motor help, and a little paycheck from Motosport. Not sure why everyone swears he is still unsponsored and should jump on every single fill-in spot.

Weston loves his team just the way it is right now. I don't think he plans on changing anything. Don't fix what aint broke!

Seely has always done real well on the starts when he bumps to the 450. Looing for at least one hole shot from him. Heat race, semi or main. I think he'll start up front.

Seely Joins Team Honda Muscle Milk in Indianapolis

Torrance, CA: Team Honda Muscle Milk announces today that Troy Lee Designs/Lucas Oil/Honda 250 Supercross rider Cole Seely will fill in for Trey Canard aboard the factory Honda CRF450R. Seely will line up for this weekend’s Indianapolis Supercross, and will continue with Team Honda Muscle Milk until round eleven in Detroit, MI.

Seely started the 2014 Western Regional 250SX title chase strong, scoring a pair of seconds before claiming his first victory of the season at round three. He followed that up with another second and now sits a mere four points behind the leader in the championship. This marks the third time the 23-year-old from Newbury Park, CA, has filled in on the Honda team: in 2011 for Josh Grant and again in 2012 for Trey Canard.

“Cole has proven multiple times that he has what it takes to run in the Supercross class, so we are looking forward to having him join our team while the West 250SX class is on their mid-season break,” said Team Honda Muscle Milk manager Dan Betley. “His focus and determination makes him a good fit for the team. I want to thank everyone at the Troy Lee Designs/Lucas Oil/Honda team and all their sponsors for allowing Cole another opportunity to race a factory Honda in the Supercross class.”

Additionally, Justin Barcia will not compete in Indianapolis due to injuries he suffered in a crash at last weekend’s race in Atlanta. Barcia is expected to return to action at the Daytona Supercross by Honda for round 10 of the series.

I hope Seely gets along better with the Honda 450 then Tomac or Barcia have. As I'm pretty sure hes moving to the 450 class next year this will be an audition of sorts I would think, not only for Honda but for everyone else to see what he can do.

Too bad for Barcia, finally gets a podium then he gets hurt. Momentum killer fersur.

Ouch!

I'd love to see Cole Seely replace Justin Barcia on TMMH for 2015 if Cole's contract with Geico will allow. Good kid, super hard worker, awesome talent & will be a real catch for whatever team inks him.

Weston is probably happy with what he is doing but sure would appreciate a contract.

He has proven time n time again he has the talent. fill in rides suck give him a contract. give him time to build a bike, learn the bike, learn the team, learn the program, etc. I think WP could be great if opportunity met time.

Not now, I am just saying we know he is capable so maybe for 15. Test when all the other contract guys start and go from there.

Definitely not at this very moment... That's no better than a fill in ya think?
