Yes did both of those, whip glitching made that possible which many people might not have ever figured out.
I don't think I ever figured this out but there still is time. Can you tell us how to do this? Is there a youtube vid?

My son showed me a few weeks ago. Whip then hit brake in the air and your float further nose down... So glad a built a decent gaming system last year. I've been using my sons Steam account when can't sleep at night and playing on the multi-player area. Never get tired of Relfex....

Yes whip glitching is very easy to do once you get the hang of it, all it does is bring the front end down when you land and it gives you an extra couple ft. to make the jump.

I sold my xbox awhile ago and haven't played in a very long time. Reflex and COD can get very addicting.

Kingston 2 had a few good hits too

The first metal ramp you can launch to the first lip of the next jump, you wont always land it but you need to hit that corner perfect. You need to glitch the corner though, for people who don't know if you launch into a berm and whip it alittle while you land, you kinda get a boost. It's hard to explain but there are some sections where it is perfect for

The section in the back after the whoops their were alot of different ways to get through it, I forget most of them but I have done every combination that can be done

The 2nd metal ramp launching to the single is pretty easy but still fun

Man I wish I would have filmed all the crazy shit I did

You can do every one of those lines without the "glitch". Can't see it being very useful and I've definitely had my day racing Reflex.

Whip glitching does not slow you down at all, some prefer it, some don't. It comes in handy when you need it.

I don't even use the "glitch" I just wiggle the reflex stick in burms and it just gives you a lot of speed, then just hold back on reflex stick to bring front end up an whip it at the very end sometimes an it'll make tons of huge sections ...

Try it just wiggling the reflex stick in burms and to the face of the jump you'll clear it , I would recommend trying it at Manchester 1 in the beginning you go through that first rythem section that that big bowl turn an you can hunk it over that table top down the back side Smile

I raced online and found out that some guys cut the track on a few of the reflex outdoor tracks. Should fix that!

yes, the game can be frustrating until you get it down. Once you do, it is light years ahead of alive.

Anyone who could break a minute on Stonepoint 1 (PS3 times) would agree
Had nothing to do with getting my butt whipped or not. I actually rarely ever played online because gates 2/3s full of 12 year olds that are gonna quit or wreck their brains out isn't fun. The physics of Reflex are just stupid. Tracks, especially SX, were too big, the bikes were too slow, no traction, can't touch another rider, terrain deformation was absurd, the bikes sounded terrible. I still can't figure out what it is people like so much. Better than Untamed, but that's about it.

The physics on Alive were 100x better. The overall game setup sucked fat dick, but the actual gameplay was way closer to the real deal than Reflex. Sure, it had problems, but they weren't as massive and prevalent as they were in Reflex. I can at least pick up Alive and play for an hour or so. Reflex, not at all.

i have to strongly disagree, alive is a turd and should be deleted from history.... tracks suck, boost buttons and strange physics
and getting input from someone who in a recent training video said he doesn't play games
despite many attempts to like it and reaching level 50... a couple of races and i have to turn it off...just isn't that fun
kind of the same as grid 1 to grid 2 ...what were they thinking trying to appeal to a mass market, but isolating the true fans
each to their own i guess

That whip glitch video is not a very good example, like the guy said, he's not very good at it. Some bigger lines in this video, OG Diz had the whip glitch dialed!

Yeah it was good for the first 2 weeks until the bike hacks came out lol, I earned a legit #1 for SX hehe
You probably don't remember me, but I was AUS_Spyder Smile I took a fair bit of your roost on The Zone, hehe.

I hope its everything like Reflex. So much smoother and just more fun than Alive. Wouldn't mind them bringing online back for reflex while they're at it.

I liked both Reflex and Alive but I have to agree the physics were a bit better on Alive.

I don't understand how someone on Alive could go 15-20 secs faster a lap than me. There has to be some way of them cheating. When I watch them while waiting to join an online race, they take pretty much the same lines as me.

It is at http://store.steampowered.com/ PC only. We've got an Xbox controller connected to our PC and it works great. I think you can download the game for $20 or so. My son did it, so not exactly sure about details.

I've played both quite a bit, but I still enjoy Reflex a little more. The bike control with the whips and scrubs just takes the cake for me. I like the traction and turning physics in Alive but that's really about it. The tracks, career mode, rider to bike ratio, and the preload function were all steps in the wrong direction in my opinion. If they could combine the two games, with some additional tracks, or possibly the option to create your own tracks, i think they'd really be on to something solid.

Hope it flow's like Reflex. Alive doesn't have that same flow or bike control.

I think that is what you will see. Take the overwhelming negatives of both and throw them in the trash. Because this round, you are noting going to see a completely new game in such a short development time.

"People want whips, fmx, and they want to hear the rev limiter" as stated by Cody Williams and Danny Stuart.
While this was said as a joke, some of it is true. When playing Reflex I love to throw it sideways and listen to that rev limiter, something that is hard to do in Alive. I have played these two games with a few moto enthusiasts, some of which having raced professional, and almost all favor Reflex.
In Alive, THQ's vision was to make it easier to play right out of the box. I thought that it was actually harder to catch on and play. Yeah you had to learn the Rider Reflex system in Reflex, but once you got the hang of that it was just about putting in laps to improve. I play MX Simulator and sometimes I think that Alive is harder to conquer than Sim.
For a console game I don't want something that is so realistic that it is hard to play. If you want something that is realistic, buy MX Simulator as JLV and the guys over there really have it figured out. Well worth the $42. What I want on a console is something my buddies and I can battle online throwing mean whips and scrubs and just having a good time, much like in Reflex.
I like to compare this situation to the Forza franchise and iRacing. Being developed by Microsoft, Forza has the closest game to realism while it is still an arcade style racing game, if that makes sense. While iRacing is as real as it gets without actually getting into a car in driving it. Granted Microsoft has a much larger budget than Nordic Games but I think this is the approach they should take. They should make it as real as possible without taking out the fun factor. Leave the simulator for JLV.
