What did you have to use for a throttle cable? I've got a 38mm Lectron that worked fine with the stock cable on my Husky, would like to try it on my 02 CR250. I love how well it works on my other bike.
why don't you take the carb, throttle cable & throttle assembly and mount it on your Honda? If you like it then either locate a custom throttle cable or buy another Husky assembly?

Awesome bike and an amazing idea for a stand. I will have one in my garage as soon as they are available.

I would HIGHLY recommend the Lectron, as would many other people on this forum. The Lectron's run a little over $300 but are worth every penny of it......depending on the bike (my CR 250 being one of the biggest benefactors), you would spend more than that on a full exhaust system and not really get as much benefit as this carb give. GO FOR IT...you won't regret it!

Thanks for the compliment on both :-). As far as the stand availability goes, Rocky Mountain MC/ATV stocks the stand (currently out-of-stock through as of late last week), BTO Sports has them in-stock and ready to ship, as well as any of your local Parts Unlimited dealers (PU has them in-stock at most of their distribution centers). Thanks!

So, I know you didn't do "all that" and not put her on a set of scales. What does she weigh? Pure sweetness.

Newmann newmann newmann.......

Actually I really haven't put it on a scale YET.....version 2.0 is slowly in the works haha.......some extra goodies that might help this weight scale cause (I plan to start "Build 2.0" thread once I really get going on it).

Honestly there isn't much to it at all. I just used 2 existing holes in the fender and then drilled 2 new holes to match up with my lower triple clamp. The Cycra front number plate was secured using the zip ties on the fork tubes and then I made a little aluminum angle bracket....just took some 1/4" aluminum and put a 90 degree bend in it (look on Page 6 for a close-up pic of it). Hope that helps a little bit.

I raced a bone stock CRF 250 and 450 in 2005 and 2006 (those model years)…..those stock brake systems don't even come close to how powerful this set-up is. With that said though, this system is CRAZY powerful and some might think it's too much. The Ride Engineering caliper with the 280mm CRFStuff rotor with the CRFStuff Pro-Lite line…..it is VERY powerful :-). Maybe not for some but my dumb way of think was I'd rather it be super strong and touchy so it doesn't take as much effort to get stopped…..after a half lap and I'm tired already HAHAHA

Hmm..maybe I should stick with the stock setup and just get an oversized rotor.

Thanks for the comment. I doubt I will be bringing it up there only because I'm not racing anymore, only interested in hitting up prepped practice days (Walnut, Archview, LTM, etc.).

On the stand, yeah I came up with that....couldn't believe nothing had been done before but it hadn't. I signed an agreement with Motorsport Products out of California for which they are now doing all the production, distributing, etc. They are available through any/all local Parts Unlimited dealers (USA and Canada), Serco Yamaha in Australia, and online at BTO Sports and Rocky Mountain (more online retailers coming on soon).

Thanks

I've seen those guys before…..absolutely AMAZING!!!!! At over $1,100 I'm gonna have to pass, unfortunately haha! Also, honestly, I would be more interested in it if it actually help less fuel rather than more (thinking overall weight of the bike). If (which likely won't happen) I ever decide to do some more racing in the future, it will simply be local District racing which would be 5-6 lap races….no need for more fuel haha.

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME though!!!!!
