Alive sucked! apart from the JS7 compound and bikes, maybe could've been better if you could race supercross.
still play reflex to this day hands down best mx game ever!
Still play it over Reflex. Reflex = going over the bars for no reason all the damned time.
Also, can we just lose the "ATV" part. Would that be so bad?

DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Still play it quite a bit on xbox live
My second favorite game is Trials Evolution for 360.
It's the simple stuff that I really enjoy.
Unleashed was rad especially on the pc when they made the ep and sim/hybrid physics. But I gotta say Reflex on the pc is my favorite as far as the game play, I see people talking about crashing and sliding but if you would just put in some time to get used to it its great and by far my favorite physics. Reflex on the pc/steam now has a bunch of user made tracks like Daytona, seattle and some super bad ass freeride maps with like 6 tracks on them. I play online but its just too inconsistent to join rooms and not worth the time of waiting. Only thing that keeps mx games alive is user made tracks , bike graphics, gear ect.. Unleashed is still rolling online every few months I go on mcmfactory and see new tracks. It sure would be nice to have an option of using a flight stick
Here is a link to some reflex tracks, some good some bad.

Nordic can get a cracking game out of the two.
Alive was so close to being great, it's a shame that the higher ups didn't allow the game to be finished.
If Alive was refined and used a career format which forced you to race from local tracks as a beginner all the way to qualifying for LL's and earning a factory ride, I think it would finally earn thei top spot over Unleashed.
Give me REFLEX 2.
alive is the turd in the punchbowl, rubbish tracks, shady handling and ruined what they had achieved in reflex, short course wtf, clutch boost bar, adding snow tracks....I think most people prefer a fun sim rather than another 'pure'
coming from the mcm days, downloadable tracks and real life replicas and a great online experience is what is required..... not too much polishing is required to the game engine of relfex
Are they trying to capture the razor thin core-moto market that wil buy the game regardless?
Pit Row
We'll most likely never get what we actually want due to the small market but it's always nice to be able to cast your thoughts on what you think a great game would be like and hope for the best.
Greg Hasting had a tournament paintball game, and it sold very well back in the day because it was authentic. Tournament paintball is a smaller, niche market than MX proving that the people that buy video games will buy an authentic game, if the gameplay is good even if they don't participate.
If the developers make a great racing game, that innovates and is fun to play online it will receive good reviews and people will buy it.
The problem is they don't and they won't.
That's also why I don't like the fact they hired the old group to do the new game. They couldn't make a fun racing experience before that the masses or the minority market enjoyed, so why can they now? All IMO.
Are you still playing Unleashed online? I will say I do miss those days a little, it was fun playing, even though I didnt get to playing it until the tailend, though I did get to experience REV, which IMO is by far the best mx game I have ever played. For those that dont know it was Unleashed just re-done by a couple guys overseas.
The only thing I dont like about PC gaming, from my experience was it was hard to trust people because things could be modified. I was accused of cheating almost daily, I just thought of it as the best form of flattery, when you are so good people think you are cheating.
Alive sucked for the goony rider and the different upgrade perks like clutch master and scrub master. The things that they did much better was the tracks breaking down during the race was much better, the physics of being able to actually rub a little with riders was better. I am very excited about the revival of this game and I literally can't wait to race people online again.
Ive been on the mx simulator wagon for about a year and a half now... Game kicks ass...
Im pretty excited and thankful that they are resurrecting this series. They need to drop all thought of using alives anything with the exception of stewarts house.
Alive sucked and i can give you over 25 reasons why i would not use that engine and or physics.
Reflex's engine (albiet the same as alives, I believe) Is superior, it just needs minor tweaking to stop the deflection that almost throws your rider off at weird times etc.. along with the weightless ness.
anyway, I cant wait to see what these guys drop!!!
Being somewhat of a pessimist, If the game is bad (Hopefully it isn't)- Just let peelout test it so he can say how good and great of a game it is.
Love the realistic sized scale.
To me the best game would feature the bike physics and sound in Alive but with the real 2014 SX track maps and 2014 National tracks with a real career mode and real life Pro riders.
