MCM2 fed the original addiction and was way before it's time and much like many rock legends died too quickly.
MX vs ATV eh it was ok but limited.
MX vs ATV Alive garbage.
Reflex touched on huge potential and is very satisfying when you get it down. However let us ride any track any time in open practice any direction.
I hope whatever come next will learn from all past games.

All the glitches in Alive... hold down the stunt modifer button for perfect wheelies through whoop sections.
Lean back and clutch for a super turbo nos power boost
And there are these stakes in the ground that appear to be wooden with flags on them but when you hit one its like you ran into a lead pole that is buried into the earth's core.
I hope the game engine is MUCH more like reflex than alive
But please, don't forget to release the part of the name: "vs ATV" .
We don't want any ATV in OUR game. We just want realism, SX, outdoors and tons EXTRA HOURS to spend. Like MCM2,
Damn, I feel like after unleashed there was no live for PC/Mac users.
Milions of fu*king games for Formula 1, Rally Car and blablabla, and still looking for a dirt bikes game. Does any one never made an enduro game?
This Kawi in the cover makes me feel the need to buy this game. NOWADAYS!
I still think the JS7 stuff is the best in the series. Because it re[licates a real track and is superbly done. I've not always been a fan of the tracks in any of the MVA games so hopefully the new team, without the THQ suits dictating, will make realistic and enjoyable tracks for the new title.
The thing is this. When Alive was made it was made with exactly this type of DLC in mind thus the platform was designed for it. Then THQ shut the doors and we never got a chance to get Supercross. But I think there was already a lot of progress done to Alive SX before the doors were closed. It is speculated this is the core of what we will see in MX vs ATV Supercross. It was termed as MX vs ATV Alive Tournament in the auction in which Nordic bought the IP.
Nordic just purchased the IP several months ago. To acquire the rights and then go thru the massive task of getting all the t's crossed, i's dotted and gather all the intellectual property from THQ is a major, time consuming undertaking. Nordic then saw their was a massive demand for MX and were able to get in contact in with some of the former developers and form a new team. To actually do that in this short amount of time as well as form a new development team (consisting of some old members) and get MX vs ATV Supercross near completion is quite astounding.
It has been really cool to communicate with the head of the team and assist them in a few different ways
Reinhard Pollice and Nordic...kudos.
Edit: I understand they can draw kids to these games even if they don't ride, but can't they just make an arcade version that's easy for kids to have fun on so us big kids can put in work on a simulator like real game?
Pit Row
Scrub master
Clutch Master (The secret of dominating the game)
(along with holding trick button down after entrance to whoops)
Make the bikes faster so people don't lose interest so quickly
More tracks
Im pumped
My best time ever on oceanview is 1:07:92. Love seeing that pop up on my buddies screens when im at their cribs playing
With that being said, other than the JS7 Compound the tracks in Alive sucked. Then again only the Supercross in Reflex were good to me. I've never liked the Nationals in any of the MVA games. Too unrealistic, too fast, too many jumps and (until Alive) too large of scale.
Hopefully MX vs ATV Supercross gets the best of both games and keeps the scale and traction of Alive while getting the better control and feel of Reflex. Good, realistic tracks are the key. The JS7 Compound is truthfully the only realistic representation of a track the series has ever had and that is because it is a replica. They tend to fantasize their own tracks too much.
That made the game for me.
i.e. Reflect style + Alive physics + great Supercross tracks could make this a major deal for us.
The most important part of Alive that they need to use is HAND GESTURES haha ...
Especially since it is back up on Steam.
No scrub or turbo button bullshit. Just fix it up a bit and it could be great.
