I heard he plays a lot of tennis and is super-pumped on his church.

I got the chance to talk to Ezra a couple of times outside of the Houston SX...apparently he likes Taco Cabana.

Of course, I don't "know him"...but, he was extremely friendly and gracious. A really nice guy.

Left it all on the track and now left cycles behind. I wish him nothing but the best.

My son is named after him. (and the biblical name - but I chose it because of lusk, don't tell my wife)

Great rider. Great guy.

he certainly did leave it all on the track..... if todays Honda guys had half the heart of Yogi, they'd be running with Bubba instead of eat'n his roost....

I was lucky enough to see him win the Phoenix SX a few years back (can't remember the year off the top of my head). My boy was a big Yogi fan and was really excited to see him win.

Great form as a rider, nice young man back in his racing days.
Beset by injuries at inopportune times; still had a grace on a SX track few have had.
Wish Yogi the best.

It is a shame that guys at his level of character do not race anymore. There is something to be said about a clean cut, well spoken guy who has a good work ethic and no sideways flatbiller hat.

Ezra is part of an icon from a lost era of motoctoss.

It was 2003 when he won phoenix, and I was super pumped when he did. He was my first favorite rider, right when I started getting into the sport.

Racer X had an article on him about a year ago. Said he was ready to make a comeback and had been training and everything, then when Shane got hurt Ezra was done.
He was one of my favorites to watch.

sorry, but they'd need that much heart to get close enough to eat Bubba's roost.

Being behind by one minute isn't really even on the same track.

He’s good friends with a buddy of mine that I ride with. We rode with him in the fall at Big Cedar in Alabama. He’s still blazing fast. He and Sean Dukes were mixing it up. All I could say was WOW. He was riding a Suzuki 450. My buddy goes to a lot of tennis tournaments with him. I haven’t been riding very much in the last 3 months so I haven’t heard anything lately. He’s a good guy.

Hmm, must be something in the code at the site I borrowed the photo from but the photo I linked was Dungey not RC.

I always liked the Honda commercials that Ezra did. "I'm a pilot - I can fly"
Great camera angles. Almost made me want to buy a Honda. Almost.

Ever since he block pass wiped out MC on final turn at St. Louis I became a huge fan.

Ezra was not afraid to push it to win and would be one of the first and few to huck some of the big sections like quads or crazy rhythm sections. It bit him a few times. He was on a roll and his confidence was high until that practice incident where he had to roll a jump and then got landed on and broke his shoulder. He would have won a bunch that year for sure if not for that. I don't think he was ever the same again.
