Can Dungey get redemption for a bit of a bummer summer and make the demons of a lackluster MXoN disappear?
Can Villopoto pull off a clean sweep and justify forgoing MXoN?
Will Eli and Kenny come out of the box strong like Bam Bam in '12?

I obviously don't expect RV to be impacted by the need to justify anything, so I expect it to be business as usual.
You'd think a win for Dungey would cleanse some of his wounds from this summer, but it's hard to say if that would actually play a significant role in the way of any extra motivation.

What/who are you watching this weekend?

Eli won a moto last year so I think he is going to be top 5 but I think RV will want to throw the smack down.

barcia. needs to proove that last year was not a fluke. all he needs is the emig special, a good start and to keep it on two wheels

Personally, I hope ET hands Bam Bam his butt this weekend and RV take 3 motos. My main reason for RV is because he didn't do the nations so it's time to rip it up.

i believe RV has won every moto he has finished at the MEC...

i would be looking for everyone else to try to stop him. i don't see it happening without a bad start from RV though.

Stewart will be really good, and so will Roczen.

i also think Barcia will be better than Tomac

JS7 in my opinion... Its time to shut all the haters up. Hes still got it and he is the HEAT race king so this should be right down his alley if he can get 3 good starts.

They say it all the time in the booth, that James is so good at HEAT's because they are short and he is so explosive and obviously still very fast. Im just glad he finally decided to show up to a MEC and maybe he can keep it upright all night and turn some heads!

Cant wait to see Tomac do his thing as well.

Anyone know if Roczen is riding a 350 or 450?

I would say Tomac and Roczen since they are moving up. Dungey needs to prove he can go through the event without breaking off his shift level.

I don't think the riders use this race to prove anything, its more for preparing for the up coming season.

Just in case I'm wrong lol, I would say Tomac and Dungey.

I don't think anyone can beat RV unless he has an issue.

yep you're right. i was thinking he DNF the race.

so in finishing the actual motos, he's 4-1?

not a bad stat to have

JS7 and Dungey for sure. They have been getting dominated by that red head for far too long now.
I hope RV loses for sitting out on team USA. Stamp it.

It's 450 for Roczen. I believe Musquin & Politelli will be on the 350 though.

Roczen will win.

Dungey has to prove he can win, Wilson has to prove he can get a good result again and Politelli has to get noticed ...

Who has the most to prove? The winner of the first main event on Saturday night. Pressure's really on at that point.

Who will I be watching?

RV, to see if he picks up where he left off (and I'd be surprised to see otherwise).
Dungey, to see if he can avoid the shifter problems that plagued him there last year.
Barcia, to see if he can top the field like last year.
Tomac. Not his first dance in the 450s, and was strong last time around in Vegas.

Hard to say who has the most to prove. All these riders have something to prove. Only as good as their last race.

Roczen and Tomac as they're moving up,I'd love these 2 guys to come out on top at the RV gig Wink

Dungey should be in good order and up there,he has nothing to prove, poor guy just got beat up in Germany

Dunge got beat up and engaged on that trip, The thought of getting married may have cost him a second a lap.

No one is out to prove anything with SX two months away! this is why they offer the million bucks, nobody would even care without that incentive! money is great but a SX championship is everything to these guys.

Dungey needs some positive mojo going into A1. Stewart needs to show the haters he can still be the fastest man on the planet...sometimes.

There is a lot of folks that will be going in hungry. With that said, here are my picks to watch. Eli Tomac, Justin Barcia and Dean Wilson. I'd say keep an eye on those three for the night; think they're going to be the ones that generate the most excitement...

The Dunge, and I'll be rooting for him and JS7.

KTM, expensive, but worth it....and love them in HD.

If RD is not at least a close second to RV, we are all in trouble.
